At home we simply need some presence up top, inevitably it'll be Gallagher when he's fit but until then I'd give Telalovic a run out first half at least. The opposition centre halves need something to worry about, doesn't necessarily need to be someone prolific to be honest but Dolan/Leonard don't really cut it as lone strikers. On paper we should be winning this one easily but they might be buoyed by a win at weekend. 2 nil home win. -
Sorry but this is absolute bollocks. Yes he wasn't exactly prolific second half of the season, but anyone questioning his effort presumably didn't watch many games. The whole team crumbled, expecting him to score all the goals as nobody else was probably added to the pressure and subsequent poor return.

It's Stoke and its post International break, expecting a right dire affair to be honest. 1 nil either way or a 1-1 draw. It'll piss down and there'll be a swirling wind. That's what usually happens at Stoke from past experience. -

Neither played in Saturdays u21 game either. Baffled as to what the plan is with either player. Does he just think they're both shite? If it's fitness related how on earth are they going to get fit sitting on the bench? -
Alan "Birdy" Birkbeck - RIP

RIP Had some good laughs on his coaches from the Aqueduct in my younger years and he was always sound as a pound with us despite us being erm slightly hard work you could say sometimes. -

Not gonna be ideal having a somewhat nervy, inexperienced keeper with a packed Darwen end behind him for half the game. It's football though, he may well save a penalty and score a header on a corner yet..... That lot seem confident, not sure why, their form isn't great really despite them getting a win at weekend. Wouldn't like to call it results wise but banging a few in today should help confidence. 2-1 home win. -

Whilst I agree with the majority doubting Wahlstedt, I think he'd have a better chance of improving with a settled defence, obviously for various reasons that's not been possible. Regardless of that though he really needs to work on a few areas of his game, not sure if there's an element of nerves in there or what. I don't think we've signed a complete dud, yet. -
Palace are outstanding odds at weekend at 8/5 🤯 Quite amusing how almost all of them are labelling Muric as the potential saviour, fuck me they didn't have that opinion of him last season 🤔

I just hope everyone enjoys it, both players and fans. Sadly can't make it as I've just started a new job so couldn't really get time off. Above all else we could really do with avoiding any further injuries too! As for the result, you never know do ya, dare to dream and all that jazz 😁 it'll either be a pasting or a West Ham-esque battling win. 3-0 Chelsea if I had to guess.... -

Classic post International break game really, I very wrongly expected it to be a bit better, but time to accept they never are! In fact every game ive watched so far this weekend hasnt been great....The good news is the next game is only in a few days and a chance to kick on. I dare say if we'd had a fully fit Tronstad and Jimmy playing all season we'd be a good few points better off and would have conceded less goals. Fingers crossed both stay fit because you'd imagine they can also improve further with more game time. -
Well to say hardly anyone was enthused by his signing it looks like we've got a good un. Quite ironic that the dingles wanted him the other year, they look in dire need of him now...

I disagree, I think we'll put on a bit of a show today. 4-1 home win. Bloody hope so anyway, this international break seems to have taken an eternity to end so I hope it doesn't end in disappointment. -
In fairness Jim does have half a point, QPR look a terrible team, I was half expecting to wake up to news of Ainsworth being sacked. That being said, one of our problems has been converting chances, you can't deny that problem went away yesterday, let's hope its not temporary. We could have done without the damn international break disrupting the momentum from yesterday.

Honestly, just go to bed and stop harping on

On a par with lightweights who do pissed exaggerated typing 🥱

Pardon

Qpr are shite, but they've conceded 5 less goals than us so far this season, they don't seem to be shipping that many goals compared to us lately. I can see a pretty useless 1-1 draw. Hopefully I'm wrong and we turn a bit of a corner to reward those making the trip. I'm considering not watching, finding it quite depressing lately doing so, a break may do me good!

Everyone was demanding changes, we've got changes. Dolan for Siggy is a bit baffling, but the boy has a point to prove, maybe he's shown something in training to earn him a start. -

Nonsense He's giving balls away that he previously calmly found an outlet for, he's been poor. -
They've had a good run Liverpool with VAR in their favour. A joke tonight but they always even themselves our, apparently.

I don't think Leo has played any under 21 games, Eastham and Hilton have played the few games this season. He's being judged on training and 2 games where he didn't have THAT much to do. Must be hard for a keeper to make a massive impact in training. Assuming he plays in the cup at Chelsea, you'd expect he's fairly busy that night. Frustrating for the fans but I think it'll be a waiting game on this one..... -
Whilst I'm not his biggest fan on the pitch, it's worth bearing in mind he's been through some really challenging times as a young lad, losing his best friend etc. We don't know the full picture but hopefully he is back smiling soon, whatever the issue may be.

Ossydave replied to pick32's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Nothing to fear really, Chelsea have been far from amazing this season so far and not sure how 'up for it' they'll be. Should be a decent following too as with West Ham last season 👍 At least 4 prem teams will exit the cup too which should be another incentive to get through to the quarters..... -

Something clearly wrong with Dolan. They felt the need to say he's not involved cos he's ill tonight, not sure I believe that. Is he pissed off because he's seen the stick he's getting on socials from the fans? Sulking about his contract issues? Either way I'm happy for him to stay away from the first team.
