  1. ''What I will say is that for all this pessimism we are unbeaten and we've hardly conceded and goals. What more does anyone want? Eh????' We have some tough opening fixtures,we'll very soon see if this team can cut the mustard Bob and make no mistake, with the signings we have made NOBODY really knows at this stage.....................
  2. Agree entirely Den, worring situation that needs to be resolved by the Ewood money men sooner rather than later. Its only one friendly game but what I saw today did nothing to convince me we are strong enough in attack.
  3. The 6,000 stand was not full but it was also definitely not 2/3 empty mate!! .....Give me Ewood park anyday, there is a massive difference in quality in the stands both in terms of brick and mortar and also the folk sat in them!!
  4. Mmmmmmmm..we huffed and puffed on a very hot day and the Preston players looked fitter as you would possibly expect.Couldn't really take much from the game but IMHO there are massive question marks over Dickov,Reid and our 'friend' Mr Yorke....We got the win but the performance was well below par. Good and vociferous following of between 3-4,000 Rovers fans at a guess. P.S. Did anyone else manage to find the memorabilia belonging to Bob Crompton in the museum?.... or was I just too hung over from last night
  5. Good grief!....just try the main carparks opposite the main stand and across from Tom Finney way if you dont want to circum navigate Blackpool!!!
  6. Pray tell us more Blueboy! .......................................
  7. Thats more like it Rovers fans!we can re-live our promotion game as we look upon the Pavilion terrace with a tearfull eye. P.S. Make sure to vist the football museum before the game ***LATEST*** Lee has just confirmed on the official site that all the initial 1,000 allocation have been sold and it's now pay on the gate....what a waste of time selling tickets!! http://www.pnefc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News...~544740,00.html
  8. Good advise to be honest,Like Burnley fans many appear to have a rather large chip on their shoulder when it comes to matters Rovers..be sensible is the best advise especially after about 50+ Rovers 'fans' decided to lay waste to a few pubs in Preston on their way back from Bolton a few seasons ago!
  9. Sumners it is then Oi! Oi!! Oi!!! Try and spread the word that the game is ALL TICKET folks because nothing has been said in the LET I notice
  10. Interesting comment taken from a Sunderland fan about their huge drop in attendances, the 41,000 refers to season ticket holders! ''We actually had 41,000 about 3 years ago so the fall in support has been dramatic over the last 2 seasons. The average gate over 3 years has been 47000, 39000 and 27000. Very worring, a drop of 20,000 in 2 seasons just goes to highlight the fickleness of happy clappy Premiership supporters.'' .... they have sold less than 15,000 season tickets to date for the coming season
  11. And the big temperature (money raised) thingy mi bob LOL! did it ever reach the target or was that when Jack intervened to save the day?
  12. Amazing how times change,I can remember a time not so long ago when just to have a crowd of 12,000 on Ewood was considered 'special' and now we complain we only have 12k season ticket holders! In a moment of quiet contemplation it just made me chuckle thinking back to the dark days of the early to middle eighties when our famous old club was literally on its kness and could barely afford to pay the milkman, the riverside stand fund etc;how well we have done to have come so far in such a relatively short space of time!.I personally NEVER EVER want to see us go back to that again and like others have said ''you never know what you've had untill its gone''........... KEEP THE BLUE FLAG FLYING HIGH!!
  13. Anybody got their Preston tickets yet?....will be going for mine tomorrow
  14. Dont need an atlas to know where Ipswich is my friend...visited the ground on more than a few occasions in the past. Just stating facts, no need to make silly comparisons anymore to try and explain our fall in support nor is there the need for the boring lecture and smart arse comments ok sunshine. Chin chin.
  15. ''but Ive had it with the fights and constant bad publicity the past few seasons despite having some decent results. '' GO SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS 78!....many,many Rovers fans share your frustration and feel exactly the same way pal.
  16. ALL TOGETHER NOW!.... ''And another one's gone and another one's gone...another one bites the dust!!
  17. There wasn't one. There was however a "player of the year" poll in which Cole came a very narrow 2nd behind Steadinho. But now Souey has offloaded Cole so as usual in the eyes of most* Cole was never any good anyway. *Tris being an honourable exception. The slating he's receiving from some quaters is ironic but yet so predictable isn't it Rev. Its just so sad that a player who I believe still wanted to play for the club and was still more than capable of producing the good's has literally been forced to walk away because the stubborn manager had no plans to play him this season...looks like the Brum game was his last game in Souness's eyes. Nobody comes out of this with any credit to be honest, the club just ends up looking like Billy Smarts f'kin circus...the whole damn situation is ridiculous! Many are rightly worried as to whether the money saved will be reinvested into the team or is it simply a case of Rovers saving money due to financial restriants?..we ALL wait with baited breath and a sweaty brow..........................
  18. ''Dont get me wrong I would love Cole to stay at Rovers but he has dissed the name of BRFC not just with Souness but with the whole damned set up.'' Cole has NEVER 'dissed' the name of BRFC or the set up, thats bull Roverite to be honest.
  19. Perhaps because the story he was telling was one that NOBODY in their right mind wanted to hear LD.
