  1. That's football lads 'n' lasses........Bring on those two-bob gunners!
  2. I have it on good authority that a certain contributor to the LET was mentioned in Souey's press conference and challenged to 'put his medals on the table'. Common LD rover the challenge has been offered!!!......looks like Souness cant take a bit of constructive criticism the marde arse.
  3. ''Defensive at home against a very very average just promoted team - what a load of tosh.'' Agree Capt...matters really are going t1ts up!!!!!!!!
  4. Cant see any point in asking that dubious question to be honest mate! . . . . . **large cough***
  5. ''Home results and performances are important, not just because poor ones create tensions on here, but also because we have to improve the gates.'' Quite right too 92er,under 20k Rovers fans I do believe on Saturday.
  6. On the contrary that is what a good number of posters are saying. The same ones that insist on posting negative crap after one game and then try and twist what anyone who disagrees is saying. No sensible person is suggesting a point against West Brom is good but the 2nd half was positive and unfirtunately if you don't go home in a stinking mood followed up with a Souness out tirade then you are accused of wearing blinkers. It's getting beyond belief now and yet whenever anyone asks the whingers to come up with an alternative they just roll-out the blinkers jibes instead. It's got to the point where I'd rather stop posting anymore because you can't have opinions. Despite posting that the tactics were wrong and that it was not at all great you still get accused of posting blinkered rubbish simply because i'm not ready to end it all. Well let's hope we can get no points for the next 10 games and Souness gets sacked. Then i'll come back and post how right you were and we'll all be happy won't we. Works both ways MB,post any critisism of the team or Souness and in the eyes of some posters you not supporting the club, your a miserable so and so who's ready to end it all, blah, blah ''Well let's hope we can get no points for the next 10 games and Souness gets sacked. Then i'll come back and post how right you were and we'll all be happy won't we.'' NO, lets hope thats not the case and that many peoples concerns dont materalise but who'll be to blame if that scenario does happen....... the folk on here who had the balls to tell it like it was.? I DONT THINK ANYONE WOULD REJOICE IN THAT(except maybe Jan!! )
  7. Whats so unbelievable about my post Mr Birch? I comment on matters as I see them in the cold light of day as do many other board members who dont have their head up their arse and are not ignorant of the situation. After Saturdays performance we look to have started were we left off last season Everybody is entitled to their views and opinion Dave but 'unbelievable' is not a word I'd use to sum up the present situation, far from it...its quite believable that we are in for a struggle again. NOBODY is saying sack Souness yet and that would be sheer stupidity but it appears that major team issues and concerns have not been properly addressed close season....I personally find that so disappointing along with the lack of activity in the transfer market to strengthen the side
  8. Two excellent posts LD and Scotty, absolutely spot on.Souness says he's happy with a point at home against newly promoted(tipped for relegation) West brom. I cant find anything positive to say about that way of thinking. JHC.
  9. 2-1 Rovers....a false god has been erected again in the corner of my room. What a pitiful record of achievement Southampton have since their formation compared to the mighty blue 'n' whites.
  10. Dont forget Souness's old friend 'lady luck' too chris, wonder how many times she'll give us a loving embrace this season! Same old, same old.
  11. I'm afraid one thing IS for sure Eddie chap and that is that Rovers fans WILL NOT tolerate another season of sh1te like the one just gone. That feeling already seems to come across quite clear and strong to me and many others...lets hope Souness gets the message early too. Simple as.
  12. Although staying in the Prem IS no1 priority, like you Paul my first reactions when seeing the headline in the LET was 'oh no not again...same old ,same old.' The wording of his comment does not fill your average Rovers fan with optimism does it
  13. Agree, Kanu's control of the ball was superb I thought, on more than a few occasions 2 or more Rovers players failed to take the ball from him in the tackle!
  14. Expected more to be honest but what the hell, its only early doors.Have a feeling that will be the last of the 'diamond formation' by Mr Souness as it cleary does not work with the players we have, many appeared to not know what position to play!.Fair do's to Dickov who hussled and bussled and looked very lively....still big worries about the attack, I stand by my comments that we need to adequately replace Cole.Play like we did in the first half today against better opposition and the game will be over at half time for Rovers. Overall summary: CAN AND MUST DO BETTER. P.S. Looking through the programme I was surprised to see that a larger crowd was on Ewood for the game against WBA in Div 1 back in 2001 !!!!!
  15. THE TENSION IS NOW BUILDING............. COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!!
  16. Very sadly Al that is the crux of the problem....... the past and present just dont compare anymore
  17. He simply isn't getting enough chances in the first team to make an impression but then again I've heard NOTHING via the club to convice me he can make the grade ever again. He either makes that breakthrough this season or its goodbye IMHO. So sad for a player who once promised so much .........
  18. Front and back page of LET,flyers, radio advertisement..dont think the club can do any more to be honest Hughesy. Non-white season ticket holders are in a very small minority I would have said AND THAT IS NO FAULT OF BLACKBURN ROVERS......the Asian community will simply not support in large numbers. Roverite, get on the blower to rovers mate, mine arrived at least 3 weeks ago and 2 instalments have already been paid for.
  19. Good shout CLB!. Although some of us(yes,me included ) wish we could pull more through the gates it has to be said that the last 13 years have seen some of the most consistent, stable and 'loyal' support at Ewood park in the clubs entire history..here's to that continuing!
  20. I'm glad to say thats not as bad as I thought it could've been at one stage..looks like the Premiership years are paying dividends now in term's of an increased 'hardcore' fanbase...keep the faith!!
