  1. Rovers 2 leg of lamb 1 Att 30,200
  2. Yes, poor Noel died suddenly of a heart attack aged just 38. Bill Eckersleys testimonial was played infront of a crowd of 21,000+!!
  3. Some good news for a change then Den! Careful Aggy, stu will be adding you to his suicide celebration list!
  4. HA HA HA!!.....let us rejoice at the good news.
  5. The support will only decrease if prices continue to rise...there is no 'amen' about it Mr Buck!!
  6. Hillbilly rock..by the cast of Emmerdale!
  7. This is the crux of the matter, how long before the 'die-hard' gets fed up with the prices,we all have a cut off point financially. God help our attendances if we have a bad season... the sh1t will really hit the fan so to speak
  8. .....And then only four days later be expected to pull out another £100. Half a months wages gone on tickets to see football : UNREALISTIC, UNMANAGEABLE FOR ALMOST 1/3 OF OUR SUPPORT!!!
  9. The main problem we are faced with seems to be going completely over the heads of some people. We have a limited fanbase of support of whom most cannot be classed as 'affluent'.....Blackburn is not,East Lancashire on the whole is not and never has been.We have a small (11-12,000) group of season ticket holders. We ARE heavily reliant on the walk-ons who must average some 6-7,000 and who account for some 1/3 of our average home support. Can the club afford to see this group of support dwindle even futher because of £36 tickets?.....the answer must be a resounding and massive NO!!!. Listen to the people like Cletus etc on this thread who have decided to vote with their feet, how long before these people completely lose the Rovers bug and decide to find their entertainment somewhere else? it can happen and very quickly. Look after your own Rovers as there aint many of 'em. P.S I'll second the request for a poll to be added to this thread regarding the walk-ons and pricing, it would be VERY interesting indeed.
  10. A+ prices again four days later for the visit of chelsea.....bank loan anyone!
  11. That may be the case stuwilky but for how long will that 'hardcore' stay at 18,000 if prices continue to rise....I can only see one sad outcome,I hate to say this but perhaps the club really has outgrown the town on more than one level. To me its one vicious circle, we cant get enough fans in Ewood so they increase ticket prices ....thats the politics of the madhouse especially for matches against (with all due respect) unattractive opposition like Everton. Unfortunately even the die hards will have a financial cut off point.
  12. Dont forget, 4 days later your walk on fan will be asked to cough up again!!!
  13. We have one VERY big problem though Paul....its looking like we will only have around 11,000 season ticket holders after a very successful season so, using last seasons average gate, that roughly equates to 6-7,000 fans who buy matchday tickets. Is that fair to hit these fans hard when we need all the support we can muster?,surely the only possible outcome of this is decreased attendance from walk-ons thus smaller average crowds! Rovers are playing a dangerous game I fear,Cletus wont be alone.
  14. I've never known a Premiership club have so little coverage of a friendly game involving itself....nothing on the official site as yet.
  15. Memories of the walkersteel advertisement on the top of the old Blackburn end roof come flooding back!
  16. What complete toss 78!.....is that what its come to nowadays? Believe it or not if prices continue at the current rate then there'll be a damn site more 'beggars' than choosers and a lot more empty blue seats around Ewood.
  17. Burnley 1,500/Preston 1,000 season tickets down on last season.
  18. How long before its £40 a ticket in the BBE? For this area its just not feasible,it just cant carry on at this rate,we'll be down to a fan base of about 11,000 season ticket holders on matchdays soon.
  19. Den, have BRISA any plans to address this ridiculous A+ A B pricing structure with the club? Its bl00dy wrong and will not help our attendances!
  20. The silence from our club regarding season ticket sales just might be an indicator Bobby!!
  21. So Everton is classed as an A+ game.......I'm sorry to say but to charge an Adult £36 for the ' privilege' of sitting in the Blackburn End is cutting it really close,REALLY CLOSE!! I'm a season ticket holder myself but I cant see many walk- on's being prepared to pay £36 against Everton.
  22. Is anybody bothering with this New Zealand friendly? I'm having second thoughts myself and I only live up the road!! Shame it couldn't have been more attractive opposition, cant see there being more than 5,000 on to be honest.
  23. I sincerely hope you are taking the p1ss there fella!!!! The flags and banners would be ok but dont we have a safety officer akin to good 'owd Hitler down at Ewood these days, what happened to the huge flag sponsored by the local solicitors? I'm afraid until somebody literally man handles the fella with the drum out of the Blackburn End he's here to stay,he really does believe in his own mind that folk want him there and he must love it when the cameras focus in on him jumping up and down like a 5 year old.......flurkin embarrassing!!!
  24. Let your feet do the talking son!
  25. If ever there was a reason NOT to get players names on the famous blue 'n' white dring1....when will folk learn?
