  1. Lets be honest,Its not just price, interest on the whole has deminished within East Lancashire.....Bumley are some 2,000 or so down on their projected season ticket target as are Preston I do believe. I'm realistic enough to state that the 5-10,000 missing home fans that frequented Ewood during the Dalglish/Walker era were bandwagon 'fans' who were simply not in it for the long haul.........the truth hurts sometimes dont it!.Believe what you want but barring another challenge for the title the 'plastics' aren't coming back. Our level of support is slowly reaching its natural level. What does please me when I look back is how firm our support remained when we took the drop in '99.....our first home game v Port Vale attracted more than Sundays game against Chelsea!!! Nowt as queer!!
  2. You have the bare faced cheek to call me a fool!....a 'supporter' like yourself who actually bought a ticket(was pricing an issue in the first place?) but then sh1t out when he knew he could get a 'freebie' on sky.Tickets were available for £27 on the day. ROVERS SAY THANKS FOR YOUR NON ATTENDANCE.
  3. Tremendous, well done.....give yourself a pat on the back for that!
  4. 1,500-2,000 Max from chelsea.
  5. The third comment is not true.
  6. 19,300 today against the champions....god only knows what the attendances will be against Fulham,Charlton and Reading etc!!!
  7. Our midfield is where the problem lies, not enough creativity.Barring Tugay, we have no one who can give that killer pass to our front men,BIG question mark over Roberts for me,not convinced one bit that this fella is good enough.....by christ are we missing Bellamy. 19,398
  8. Why not pay £27 Cletus?......If you REALLY wanted to be there tomorrow Barring relegation prices will not dramatically drop so your self imposed exile might last years.
  9. Looking at the poll already the message is as clear as daylight. Please, when this poll has run its course will someone print it off and give a copy to the club and one to the divvy with the drum.
  10. Its great that the club has sold more season tickets than last season but its clearly going to be offset by a decrease in the number of walk-ons....we may even see a decrease in the overall average attendance yet again!! People are saying its fine to charge £36 a ticket in the Blackburn end but like SD4E says the gaps are getting wider in the seating every season. You simply cannot keep increasing the charge on a very limited fanbase......... Its a crying shame and I really cant see any light at the end of the tunnel with this one
  11. Caution is the name of the game...they are an unknown quantity to us.We all have confidence and hope that both player commitment and mentality towards these games will be different under Hughes. Looking forward to us being able to hold our heads up high in Europe this season!
  12. Neither had Trelleborg 'fantastic players' Difficult tie and Rovers will have to be on top form in both games.
  13. ''excellent players? Is that why they play for some mugs in Austria?'' Sheer Ignorance like that will see us not last long fella!
  14. Coached by Giovanni Trappatoni! Tricky tie indeed!
  15. Bring on the jam tarts!!!!
  16. We need more guile and craft in midfield if McCarthy and Roberts are to reach their full potential. Both sides looked very even to me........average at best.Early days yet but we need more from the likes of Gamst et al to start looking convincing against even the likes of ###### pot Pompey and Everton. Everton fans.....I have never known a set of fans moan and holler at every tackle and decision made against them, like a bunch of pansies! HANDBALL! HANDBALL!!!! Just 15,500 home fans......a clear warning Mr Williams that matters are reaching critical point as regards pricing down at Ewood
  17. Rovers 1 Chelsea 2........we'll battle hard but just too much quality for us to handle I fear at the moment. Att: 20,500
  18. A WARM WELCOME BACK TO FOOTBALL AT EWOOD!! COME ON YOU BLUES!!
  19. Will this be a fleeting visit Marv to the home of East Lancashires finest football MB or will you be staying for some discussion and banter?.....not many of you around these days
  20. I wish we had THIS sort of enthusiasm for protecting the history and heritage of Blackburn Rovers......his collection is worth over 1 million!
  21. I wonder if Bellamy leaving has caused more disruption than we dared imagine?
  22. This week should be very interesting indeed...the mods might need to be on suicide watch come Sunday evening!!
  23. Spurs and Villa? dont you mean Barnet and walsall Our club shop is a shambles.
  24. STEADY ON CAPT!! The general opinion seems to be that Rovers players looked neither fit or interested enough and I personally find that appalling for the first game of the season.Lets see how they respond to this defeat with two very difficult home games in a row now....should be an interesting 7 days thats for sure!!
