  1. If we cant beat Brum,a side like ourselves who are struggling then the warning signs are ominous. 2-1 Rovers. 18,900
  2. Mark Atkins was born in Doncaster. Personally cannot believe the amount of votes for Sherwood..everyone to their own I suppose!
  3. Just heard John Williams say on Radio Lancs that their will be NO internal investigation into who is responsible for the info leak to the press!!! What a fookin joke.....as if the club needed anymore embarrassment I must say there's a hell of a lot of over-reaction by supporters on the phone in,wish people would think before opening their mouths...our own fans wishing relegation on the club for what has happened is bloody ridiculous YOU STUPID,STUPID PEOPLE.
  4. Unfortunately Waggles you pay a great disservice to the strength of feeling the Blackburn fans have towards Tony with those comments. I'm sure whoever Rovers arrange to play it will be well supported.
  5. lol!...club board members to correct that Den!!
  6. Good call USABLUE,to those calling the club etc..its not their fault that some snidey little callous gobshite enjoys sh1t stirring to the rags.Like others have said, that said gobshite needs to be rooted out and severely dealt with What worries me even more is that this person of dubious character must be very close to the top to know such information.....are we talking about possibly one of our own board members/players here? Mmmmmmmmm
  7. Looks as if the infamous 'Ewood mole' has struck again...would love to clout it one over its head with a spade!
  8. A very bold move by Hughes if indeed true.....I believe the manager should be backed to the hilt in his quest to find the right personnel for Rover's future,we need to move forward on all fronts. It had been argued many a time on here as to whether 'Mr untouchable' Parkes should be shown the door and fresh impetus given a chance..look's like somebody's finally been brave enough! Thank you Tony Parkes for your service to B.R.F.C.
  9. Are you joking mate? Take away the so called 'sympathy vote' for Latheron and compare his record at Rovers to others now in that list..they dont come close. In my opinion a vote for either Atkins,Sherwood,Barker or Parkes ahead of Latheron is a vote of complete ignorance of fact.
  10. I know who I'll be voting for as my second....the likes of Sherwood and Atkins dont come close to this fellas record at Rovers!!
  11. I would have thought that in our present dire situation the players we need the most right now are the confident and big-headed type
  12. 1-1....a trip to Carrow road has never been one to look forward to as long as I can remember. Did you know that Norwich originally started out with the same kit as Rovers!
  13. Still less than 20K Rovers ..... great vocal support again but we really need those stay aways to come back, hopefully yesterday will help.
  14. WELL PLAYED THE LADS IN BLUE 'N' WHITE! .....you put some pride back into the club today and we can all hold our heads high again! Emerton and Bothroyd deserve special praise.
  15. 2-1 Liverpool, no doubt Rover will give their all but the quality is just not there anymore.
  16. There are two players in the list that stand out amongst the rest....... Ronnie Clayton and Eddie Latheron.I have a feeling Clayton will win this but Latheron should be given special consideration I feel........ Edwin Gladstone Latheron was born in Grangetown,North East England and joined Blackburn Rovers in 1906 almost by accident. He was discovered when visiting Blackburn to play for Grangetown against Blackburn Crosshill in an FA amatuer cup tie.Rovers had originally gone to watch another player but it was Latheron who caught their eye and Rovers paid £25 to bring him to Ewood! A skilful inside forward who, despite his lack of height, was good in the air he possessed fantastic ball control coupled with a fine shot on him.... he quickly established himself as a fans favourite with the Blackburn public.A prolific goalscorer himself, he was claimed never to be a selfish player and always prepared to do the 'fetching and carrying' for other team mates. Without question a driving force(alongside Crompton) behind the all conquering pre war Rovers Championship sides of 1912 and 1914 he was capped twice by England and represented the football League. At the height of his powers Eddie played his last game for Rovers on March 17th 1917.Five days later he went to fight for Queen and Country in the trenches of France and tragically just seven months later he was killed by a German shell. He left a widow and a young child.....he was just 28. Played league football for Rovers between 1906-1915, made a total of 282 appearances in all competitions and scored an impressive 104 goals. http://www.cottontown.org/Nimoi/sites/CT/r...ces/jb08178.jpg http://www.cwgc.org/cwgcinternet/casualty_...asualty=4032402
  17. Its time Hughes looked deeper into his entire squad and tried to seek out players who can change the set of crap we have that is called a 'defence' LOL...they are all crap full stop!
  18. I totally agree that our present problems are not the making of Hughes but I must say that I am now of the opinion that we may well have to go down and start all over again. Again I ask the question, Why have our players not responded to the appointment of Hughes?......
  19. Why have these players not responded since the appointment of Hughes? Very worrying sign indeed.
  20. We're a bloody awful side, who's confidence is shot to hell.Chelsea are taking the pish out of us. We need a miracle to stay in this league. -15 goals against ......appalling,the worst in the league
