[Archived] Huddersfield Town 3-1 FT
SIMON GARNERS 194 replied to Modi's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening!.Open, attacking football from both sides and despite the crowd just being short of 12,000(a GOOD gate when compared to some on Tues!)the atmosphere was good. We saw what Bellamy is capable of with his lightening speed and I agree with others that the team needs to be built around him...nice to see 4-4-2 formation. This game came at the right time for Rovers and will no doubt provide a timely confidence boost for Sat. P.S. The Hudds fans were a credit to their club, they were still coming into the ground at nearly half time!...I wonder when was the last time they had a following like that? -

Look at the attendances last night, ALL were very low....as expected at this early stage in all honesty. -

Taking a child along with me tomorrow night,a miserly £3...what more do people want, what more can the club do. -

We ALL wanted a piece of the Rovers pie when we were successful. Its times like these that the club really needs its 'supporters' to come to the fore. I respect others view's and opinions and yes, its bl00dy well frustrating at the moment but to an outsider reading some of the comments on here,he/she would be even further convinced about our fans reputation as a fickle bunch. What the supporters of Burnley,P.N.E or poor Blackpool would give to have been in our shoes these last 13 years god only knows. STICK WITH IT LADS 'N' LASSES. -

SIMON GARNERS 194 replied to Gav's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Its a difficult one.... what happens if Rovers reduce ticket prices but still see a drop in attendance from poor football? How many times have the club dropped ticket prices and seen zero responce from the Blackburn public in the not so distant past, again, look no further than this Wednesday by all accounts. How much money will Rovers lose on a sub 10,000 gate! At a guess I would say the crowd has to be near 15-20,000 just to break even on ground operating costs alone. I fear its a no win situation at the moment. -
I thought the 'GRAEME SOUNESS IS A W*****' chants were childish and pathetic. I just sat there shaking my head,no need for it,non at all.

Totally agree Waggy but why just 3 games, why not most home games? would any season ticket holder begrudge a kiddy the chance to support their home town team on a regular basis. If not free tickets how about kids for £2!!...we have a whole upper tier of the Darwen end completely empty for 80% of games......what an absolute waste of space. -
[Archived] Mark Hughes - Good Choice ?
SIMON GARNERS 194 replied to Ste B's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Look at the poll results, the vast majority wanted him in, me included...we knew the risks appointing a relative rookey manager could pose.Like Rev states Hughes is doing himself no favours with this 4-5-1- malarky against poor opposition, we all want the fella to succeeed but is hughes becoming his own worst enemy here with this negative style of football?...only time will tell, only he can change that. As a previous manager would say we'll have to wee with the willy we've got....and that aint much at present -

So you would be happy to see us play 1 up front against Div 1 town? WTF.... I respect that he kept us up last season but its about now, right here, right now and 4-5- f'kin-1 aint working sunshine...most can clearly see that.!!! 'Who the F***am I '?..one of the ever dwindling number of season ticket holders who pays good money to support this club and are entitled to voice their opinion. Most on here care with a passion and can see everything is not rosy in the Rovers garden. Right or wrong, respect other peoples views without the abuse and you'll be a better man for it shilito15. -

The depth of feeling regarding this pathetic, boring and unimaginative 4-5-1- approach to our formation is deafening on here...for the sake of the club Mark Hughes change it for good !! -

Shocked, stunned and very ###### off! 4-5-1- yet again and you wonder why our attendances are going through the floor with results like that. P.S. Is Bellamy a striker or a winger?...he didn't seem to know himself,he appeared to be doing the work of others far too often for my liking. -
