The Foundations of the Roof Supports were Corroding away seriously.There was also danger to the Roof in high winds...it wasnt in good condition when it was closed.

Definitely down to lack of recent maintenance Hasta but there is no doubt the problem has always existed.I remember my dad talking about how quickly the Ewood pitch would turn into a muddy quagmire in the 50/60s era.

I think there has historically always been a problem with the Ewood pitch and the surrounding water table level.The Ground literally sits in a trough of a small surrounding Valley. Remember the Old Riverside Stand had to be demolished due to the Foundations literally having rotted away!.

The Oxford game must be in doubt,three days of rain expected. What a situation this is.

Hopefully open a full investigation...we cant carry on like this.
