  1. He looks decently quick in the highlights (and Japanese players generally aren't slow - small, but not slow).
  2. He doesn't look fit at all, but he's also proving not to be a wide player (to be fair in the past I thought he could do a job there). It's why I'm also against signing strikers that can play 'across the line'. I want genuine width and trickery out wide, not a reasonably quick, sub 6' bloke that can pop up at the back post and score every now and again.
  3. JRC is arguably our best RB and our second best CM. He's just not a AMR.
  4. It's far too early to say - those types of results happen in the Championship, heads go down after a few fortunate goals / defensive mistakes nd suddenly you're on the end of a battering.
  5. Gallagher wouldn't have scored any of the three goals Yuki has scored so far.
  6. He only makes financial sense if you're able to shift Sigurdsson or Dolan on for a couple of million. He'd be a sensational signing as our #10, but we've got about 4 players that want to play there (and realistically it's probably Leonard's best position too).
  7. I still think you could get a couple of hundred grand for him. He'll score goals in L2.
  8. Me neither, but hopefully he counts as a completely free hit because he's very cheap (contact expires in January) and we still plan to sign a GK, a LB and two wingers.
  9. Vale just needs to be sold at this point.
  10. I'll be honest - when I woke up this morning I was hoping to be linked to more players than Germain, Ruddy and Stansfield. We have a week before our next game - we DESPERATELY need to get reinforcements in - in the right positions too.
  11. Obviously learned from Ohashi's journey.
  12. To be fair it's the kind of bonkers thing these owners sanction. £6m on a striker when you've scored 12 in 3 and peanuts on a GK.
  13. The current formation calls for the wingers to play wide - hence why Eustace has a left footer on the left and a right footer on the right (to start at least).
  14. I know that Garrett didn't get off the bench today for Bristol Rovers.
  15. Mainly because the GK doesn't save anything and often gifts the opposition a clear cut chance or two a game.
  16. The current recruitment team do seem to target players in the last year of their contract, or those with release clauses - so maybe there's some smoke to this fire.
  17. We loose an easy outlet - it makes a massive difference when you have a big CF that the ball sticks to upfront. In an ideal world you'd have a like-for-like replacement for him. When we bring Ohashi on we have to change the way we play.
  18. After the wailing and gnashing of teeth that there was no life without Szmodics we went away to a very strong Championship team and got a point. So yes, I'm giving the team credit for that. There were no 8s, but I thought Ohashi, Gueye, Tronstad and Hedges all deserved 7s. If you score or assist you deserve a boost in your rating - the aim of the game is to score more goals than the opponent of course. Brittain would get a 7 if either of his CBs or his GK had covered for his error - sadly they didn't.
  19. Watched that the other day - it's been quite the transformation. He turned into a clinical finisher overnight.
  20. A draw away at a side that finished in the Playoffs last year, a day after we sold the Championship's top goal scorer, and not a single Rover scores above a 6 - and you think that's a fair assessment? Curious.
