  1. Peak Dolan. Defenders back off, he carries the ball into the box, gets stood up and loses it under pressure. Had options left and right, but just kept his head down and ran into trouble.
  2. They genuinely have much better attacking players than we do. Their RW is giving Beck a hard game. Beck would have Dolan / Hedges / Weimann in his back pocket.
  3. Baker has been neat and tidy. I don't think he's given possession away yet and he's covered well defensively in CM. He's not busting a gut to get involved with the attack, which is where you miss Travis.
  4. Is this your first Championship game?
  5. They don't get any service - the next time Dolan or Hedges put a quality cross into the box will be the first time. Even Cantwell only has one goal for us (a penalty) - we just don't create enough chances / make the right decision. Just then Ohashi had the freedom of the KC to run into after riding a challenge and decided to play it into Dolan rather than Cantwell. Braindead.
  6. That Leeds LB last week was glacial. Dolan was set away then and Giles glided back and easily hawked him down.
  7. Carter, S. Wharton injured, Travis suspended. Baker preferred to JRC / Buckley (same with Brittain to Buckley) and Leonard coming back from a long term injury. Just football. If we were desperate to keep the streak going we could have done so without losing any quality in the starting XI.

  9. It was 600 matches in September 2022 - so that + however many games we've played since then.
  10. It's quite pleasing to see Leeds battering Derby when we didn't give them a sniff.
  11. They showed a highlight of the Rovers goal against Hull at the KC Stadium (or whatever it's called these days) on Twitter this morning. A. Wharton (£18m) threading a ball to Szmodics (£12m) and the first player to run over and join them in their celebration in the corner flag was Gallagher (£1m). We've had buttons to replace them with. Football is shit, isn't it?
  12. It's crazy that we're now in December and we still have no idea what we have in that Brighton loanee.
  13. It's often more about getting their salaries off the books than anything.
  14. He's played CM most of his career: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lewis-baker/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/198589
  15. They'll loan Duru out in January, he's not developing in the U21s. Baker is a very good understudy to Travis ad Tronstad. So was JRC pre his loss of form. Personally I'd be recalling O'Riordan and putting all my eggs in the RW basket. They won't allow us to bring in multiple players - well not permanently, which is what we need. Loans just put a plaster over a gaping wound.
  16. They sacked Rosenior for finishing 7th. I can't imagine Eustace is too keen to go there - not unless there's been a massive falling out behind the scenes here.
  17. The Championship is like the SPL - you know pretty much who the top 2 are going to be and everyone else doesn't really have a pot to piss in.
  18. He was a much better RB than CB.
  19. No, he was on the left wing - almost every goal kick by Pears was aimed at the left wing, with at least two going out of play on the full.
  20. Gueye won a couple of thundering headers at the end from goal kicks - granted he headed it into the middle of the pitch to no-one because our players didn't react to it, but they were both towering headers and what you'd expect of someone that size.
  21. Theoretically you have Baker, JRC and Buckley on the bench to deputise for Travis. There's no need to move Cantwell.
  22. Might be worth giving it a go first though, eh?
  23. He's much better than Vale, albeit Vale might actually be a better finisher. His movement, vision and work rate all put Vale to shame. If he had a bit of size / pace he'd be in the starting XI. As it is I'm not quite sure where you play him in this formation.
