  1. I'd love to sell him and get some of our money back.
  2. I think he needs a rest. I too would love to sign him permanently.
  3. Pears cleaning out their attacker was a penalty (although we didn't get one very similar against Boro), but the CF diving with the goal at his mercy wasn't.
  4. Two thumping headers too. Maybe we should, y'know, cross more balls into the box for our 6'5" CF?
  5. We need pace and trickery out wide more than we need a CF.
  6. That and Dolan is playing on ice skates and Cantwell is coming too deep for the ball. Buckley needs to take charge of the game.
  7. LOL that's atrocious from Weimann.
  8. As I said, a lot of people around me in the Jack Walker were there because they hate Burnley.
  9. Considering he's not a CF it's a bold choice.
  10. The only counter to that - we've lost two games recently where he's started ACD and clearly gone for the win. The Dolan / Hedges defensive solidity seems to work at the moment.
  11. You'd hope so, or else he'd be on the news right now.
  12. Weimann at #9. Good lord. I'm glad I'm playing 5 a side tonight instead.
  13. Personally I'm a big fan of a 3-5-2. Three big, athletic CBs and two big, athletic CFs. It's murder at set pieces.
  14. I'm much more interested in this than Bamford, Wallace, Asante-Thomas.
  15. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
  16. What's behind door number three?
  17. Yes because JRC, Buckley and Weimann all look like they're running in treacle.
  18. He's got to this level because he's 6'5", athletic and aggressive. He wins headers, he boxes out defenders and he's a good enough footballer to pass to his teammates. You can finesse your way out of this league, but nobody likes playing against a bigger, better athlete than you - which is what he is for 90% of Championship CBs.
  19. He's 5'8" so I assume he's being looked at as a winger.
  20. On a very limited budget we need players that are going to improve our team in the current formation we play. I don't want to shoehorn players in because they can score goals i.e. Aasgard on the LW. I want a fast LW/RW who will open up a myriad of options to us in attack. Otherwise you're essentially just putting 'better' players (is Aasgard more of a goal scorer than Weimann?) in the same situations - someone out of position being asked to convert limited chances because the team as a whole has to play a certain way due to the physical limitations of the attack.
  21. Honestly that seems like a fee we could pay, but it'd be lauded as a 'massive' transfer fee.
  22. As much as I like Leonard's potential, we looked much better when Gueye came on. The ball actually stuck upfront. He's simply not physical or canny enough at the moment to lead the line in the Championship.
  23. Where does Aasgard play in our system? Another slow wide player? We need pace.
