  1. Sounds similar to JDT's plea to just get him a striker, any striker, cos what he has in the building now is shite. JDT would have got us promoted with just Gueye in his first season. What could have been.
  2. Honestly I think that's your lot for the season. Only way we buy in January is if we sell again.
  3. Is he even in the country? I thought he was away on international duty.
  4. Rudy towing the party line in that YouTube video I see. "It's really important to thank the Board and the Owners" y'know after banking £40m+ and spending approx. £2.5m.
  5. He just needed consistent game time - he's clearly a very talented player. He also needs to learn to stay on his feet - too many slide tackles in that highlights package, you're asking for a yellow card in the modern game.
  6. Nah, the PL teams know who the promising talents are in every other Academy. They're not mugs.
  7. I think you've easily doubled what we actually spent on transfer fees with your wild guess. Unless you're including wages - in which case you'd have to factor in the wages that have gone out of the door too in that £30m+ figure.
  8. A back 5 that are yet to keep a clean sheet?
  9. He's such a wonderful man manager.
  10. If teams can deal with Burnley's pace out wide they'll stifle their attack.
  11. I watched the highlights, I don't think that's true for the Bristol Rovers game - think it's just a fan who has taken an instant dislike to a loan player and blames him for all their ills.
  12. How many goals have we conceded already this season?
  13. How many more would you like, Eddie? Bellingham, Kane, Gallagher, Sancho, Tomori, Toney (LOL) have all played abroad - I'm sure there's more that have had loans abroad too. The rest generally play at the top 3 or 4 teams in the strongest league in the world.
  14. I mean they're correct - sending off the CF your CBs couldn't handle is always beneficial to the team going down to 10 men...
  15. I think this team is right unless the Brighton kid absolutely rinses everyone in training for the next two weeks.
  16. If you've paid £1m for a GK and he's not immediately in the starting line up over Pears then you've wasted £1m.
  17. It went wrong with Wahlstedt because he never learned to deal with crosses and his defenders lost confidence in him. For all the plaudits people are handing out to Pears about his MOTM performance against Leeds - he was doing the exact same thing as Wahstedt was doing - palming saves out into the danger area, our defenders just reacted quicker. Leo's confidence was clearly absolutely shot at the end and he needed taking out of the firing line - his new manager will have some job on building him back up.
  18. A good GK saves their goal - it was right down the middle of the goal, he actually dives out of the way of it. He was lucky that Foster missed a later header too - he'd come for the ball, got stranded in no-man's land as he was never getting there through a crowd of bodies - and Foster looped it wide with an open goal gaping. He has to be dropped, he's not a League standard GK. It's clear to almost everyone.
  19. It wasn't, the Burnley player rolling around like he'd stepped on a landmine made the referee's mind up for him.
  20. Experience aside, Weimann is clearly just a fantastic player at this level. Very tidy on the ball, composed and makes the right runs at the right time.
  21. Nah, he's an English manager that wears a tracksuit on the touchline and talks in a Brummie accent - he'd have to take Rovers up to ever sniff the PL.
  22. My condolences.
  23. Play on or a red card for the last man taking out the attacker - I'll let you pick your poison.
  24. He didn't book Laurent (#29) who cleaned out Beck either (he waved play on and it led to the Brittain chance that he sliced wide). Absolutely disgraceful performance from the referee.
  25. He wasn't played in his preferred position, but his application post Christmas was diabolical.
