It's a fair point, but loans are meant to push your squad over the top (see Diallo at Sunderland a couple of years ago) rather than be squad fillers. We have an excellent Academy for that. As the squad stands we're not an excellent loan or two away from having a good Championship team, which I think is the main complaint.

He does, and that's concerning. but having played 70 games in the top flight of Dutch football (and wanted back by Ajax, where he played as a youngster) you've got to imagine his fundamentals are considerably better than Pears'. Pears loved to be wildly out of position, or get down late for easy saves all the time - you're starting with a 10 point deduction with Pears as your #1.

Lancs should just double down on this One Day Cup being a development competition this season and play all the kids for the rest of it. What we have determined though is that Bailey isn't a death bowler, Blatherwick is crap and Bell isn't a Wicket Keeper.

I'm not sure he would be. I think we gave him his debut last year to try and convince him to stay - like when we played Phillips the season before when he clearly wasn't anywhere near ready.

It means he's pretty mobile. He looks like another #9 who wants to get on the end of crosses - which means if he's a target then we must be looking for at least one winger.

Same reason Gent and Gallagher didn't play - the club doesn't want to risk the player getting injured before a transfer move.
