  1. Imagine if we were promoted via the Playoffs and they sold us to competent owners... the stuff dreams are made of.
  2. If we beat Birmingham we give ourselves a 7 point gap to 7th - that's massive psychologically.
  3. Signed 30 players and forced a bloke out the door 6 months after signing him for serious money. Oh and having a sanctimonious tw... as a manager.
  4. The potential points deduction for Reading could hand one of Wigan / Blackpool/ Huddersfield a lifeline. Curious to see what the EFL does there.
  5. I bet City are torn - on the one hand it would be good experience for the players and, realistically, whether they play or not isn't going to make a difference to the final result. On the other hand, sods law is they scrap a winner.
  6. Maybe he just doesn't like us? Where's he from and who does he support?
  7. I'm more worried about our attacking options, or lack thereof, than Phillips having to get a game or two (he should have got more time on the pitch this season anyway).
  8. You mean Ryan Mahrez, right?
  9. The most exciting thing is that we only started one (MASSIVELY OVERRATED) loanee today. Admittedly Brereton-Diaz is probably walking for free in the summer, but that's such a good base to build from.
  10. If we had an actual striker we'd be pushing for automatic promotion this year - of course we'd then need an entire new team in the Premier League, but that's by the by. Sod O'Brien, our inability to bring in a proper striker on loan in January will ultimately be our downfall this season.
  11. Even if they're 'well meaning' Sheffield United fans, it'll just come across as smug and condescending in light of the refereeing travesty we've just experienced. Better safe than sorry, I say.
  12. You'd say anyone down to 12th is still in with a shot of the Playoffs if they hit a run of form. Norwich, West Brom and Watford have all obviously got stronger squads than us. I'll feel much more confident if we beat Birmingham the first game back - that gives us a 7 point gap to 7th and some much needed breathing room, but it won't take much to see us stumble, especially with the teams we have to play in the run-in.
  13. We can't play at that intensity twice a week - April is where our lack of squad depth is going to kill us I'm afraid.
  14. I imagine the game would have been slightly different if we were playing against 10 for 60 minutes...
  15. I think we'll really struggle with 8 games in April - we don't have the squad to perform at a high level twice a week. I'm just hoping we can hang onto the Playoff spot now.
  16. Because switching to a back 5 for the last 10 minutes in a tight game has repeatedly worked for him this season. I wouldn't have done it, I'd have brought Dolan and Garrett on for Morton and Szmodics, but I can't really fault the idea behind it.
  17. He clearly got poked in the eye. I'm no fan of Morton, but Ndiaye (or whatever he's called) had his fingers all over Morton's face.
  18. It's almost like we're in the Playoff positions because he ground out a number of wins early in the season by switching to a back 5 late in the game...
  19. Then he needs to take the credit for getting us to the QF and (potentially) the Playoffs. He's doing an unbelievable job.
  20. I'd take the fine if I was JDT and call the ref out for the bent tosser he is.
  21. That the VAR official told him to give. And he didn't send the bloke off in the process.
  22. Well the ref has finally won it for them. Good job, mate.
  23. We've been given absolutely nothing by this ref. Absolutely nothing.
  24. Heartless bastard didn't care about Carter's feelings though.
  25. First missed tackle by Carter and a yellow card. Good reffing, that(!)
