Having just watched the highlights, it was worse than I thought - Dolan was offside for the entire passage of play. He probably could have squared it to Hedges though.

Honestly I don't think Dolan played that well - he started to run into the channel, then realised that Giles was going to carry the ball himself. Dolan then didn't drift central enough to give him a good option square - and Giles drew a very good save from the keeper.

I keep on saying, if you're a new coach and Gallagher walks through the door you sit up in your chair - moreso when you see him run. You turn away in disgust when you see him trap a ball though. It's a joke that 5'6" Dolan is infinitely better at holding the ball up than 6'4" Gallagher.

Why? That type of ball is never played in by us - he'd have to be psychic to anticipate that.

Mowbray has been gifted half a good Championship XI for free and he's not been able to consistently build on it. In fact he's lead the charge to downgrade our Academy - madness.

If you're playing Dolan he has to play as the False 9. His energy causes problems there - he harries defenders and he's quick enough to turn Championship CBs.
