  1. I'd love to see him played centrally. He holds the ball up.
  2. You won wonder what Mowbray watches in training. You see Rothwell picking the ball up from the back four and pinging accurate passes about playing centrally - he looks like a PL CM. How you spend two years shoving him out wide left because he can dribble a little bit and he reminds you of Benrahma is beyond me. Criminal mismanagement.
  3. No, they said he scored against Coventry and last time he was at Ewood he was managing a team that put us out of the UEFA Cup.
  4. I love how our commentators act like Armstrong is Mbappe. Lots of sharp intakes of breath when he misses an interception 40 yards from goal. He's not guaranteed to run away from a defence.
  5. Douglas has been consistently shite in a Rovers shirt.
  6. I'm a big fan of Nyambe, but he's been monstered so far by their LW / LWB.
  7. Coventry wearing a variation of our best ever away kit. Why we continue to miss this open goal of a PR opportunity I'll never know (we should wear halves home and away).
  8. I wouldn't have stuck with the 4-2-3-1 that he's trying to play there either. If he's trying to play the 4-3-3 that he started the season with then he's going to quickly find out that Evans isn't up to it.
  9. I've never considered him a club legend. Very good player, but he's never shown the attitude you'd associate with a legend.
  10. They've proven that they've no problem paying money out. The sticking point with any manager would be what backing they'd receive after the Lord Mayor's show. Mowbray has squandered millions - are they going to back the next guy, or do they want a Bowen?
  11. Isn't that known as a Brucie Bonus? How are these people so rich if they're not able to pounce on opportunities like this?!
  12. I'd take Cook here - absolute knobhead, but we're unliked anyway. Someone else mentioned it in this thread - the person that you hire has to be the complete manager as, unfortunately, the structure at Ewood Park is basically non-existent. For some that would be liberating, but you can't hire a green manager who needs a strong supporting staff above them. Speaking of which, I wouldn't want Hughes back - not unless he's bringing the Taffia with him (which he can't).
  13. I haven't been entertained.
  14. Our batsmen would almost be better not playing for the spin. The vast majority of the wickets have just been arm balls.
  15. Just seen the goals - actual schoolboy defending.
  16. It's a bridge too far for me tonight I'm afraid. I'll watch the highlights on YT if we don't get mullered.
  17. He's quick, but he's not fast. He also always wants to cut back inside when playing out wide - so a) he's not going to consistently run away from you as a FB and b) you always know where he wants to go with the ball.
  18. He's spending his dad's money and we've no idea how that will turn out.
  19. You'd have no problems with a 20 something running the club? God we've fallen so far.
  20. Half of the Championship managers would fancy getting this current side up (albeit we don't own half of it). It's absolutely a Top 6 squad. It's nowhere near a Premiership squad - they'd be murdered in the top flight. It really, really is a cloggers League I'm afraid, but we have enough quality to get out of it with this team if a manager organised them and picked a consistent XI.
  21. Ryan Nyambe is 23 years old. Why does he constantly refer to him as a kid? It's degrading.
  22. As much as I love the club, this isn't the same one I started supporting in the early 90s when I moved into the area. I won't stick around to watch us struggle along in L1 / L2. I'd just give up on the game altogether.
