  1. Why would Chapman be feeling sick? The door is clearly open for him to seriously contribute in this team. It's up to him to walk through it.
  2. Back when £5m meant something, yes. In the modern 'Monopoly money' game, no. I'm not as high on him as many on here are, but I'd rather watch him in Rovers colours than bank an insignificant amount of money.
  3. I think we've got enough cover upfront - I'd want to keep the door open for the promising U23s to make a breakthrough.
  4. Mowbray has had a blinder of a pre-season if he's signed Kaminsky, Ayala, Manning and Dolan. More so if he's found a role for Holtby, continues to play Rothwell at CM and keeps the door open for Brereton and Chapman. Look like a different team.
  5. I don't think that's fair - we've never struggled to score goals at this level. If Wycombe have anything to worry about it's that they didn't trouble us at the back.
  6. Quiet, but the game was over as a contest.
  7. I prefer the Americanism "You hate to see it".
  8. I think the problem Mowbray's going to have is that Dack's return unbalances this side. I'm not sure where he plays in a 4-3-3. Will probably have to go back to his 4-2-3-1 formation, which could be a shame considering how good we've looked recently.
  9. Great through ball from Buckley. Armstrong is also BRILLIANT when he doesn't have to think. He's a really, really good #9 at this level.
  10. He can't really pull off the long hair look, but fair play for trying.
  11. Oh dear, the Rovers iFollow commentators are off on one. We're the greatest team in the league now, apparently.
  12. I'd bring on Chapman for Dolan / Buckley for Holtby / Davenport for Johnson. Save the young / old legs.
  13. I'd like Buckley, Davenport and Chapman to get some game time now.
  14. If you followed Mercer's betting advice you'd be homeless.
  15. I'm not on the hype train yet. He's quick, energetic and can beat a man - I want to see the rest of his game develop before crowning him. He's made a promising start to his career here so far though.
  16. He always performs when played in CM. He's inconsistent when played AML.
  17. I like this team when everyone is played in their correct position. I also like this formation - which is going to be difficult to maintain when Dack comes back.
  18. In the Summer Transfer Window thread I've been adamant that Lenihan, A.N. Other (which we now know is Ayala), Williams and Wharton is more than enough at CB for us to compete at the top of the table. LB is the main concern - and continues to be.
  19. Followed by The Stone Roses. There's a legend in charge of the sound system today.
  20. I like the Gallagher comparison someone made about JRC. A very technically proficient player, but just lacks that athleticism needed to play at the highest level - for him, at his size, he lacks pace. Still very useful at this level though.
  21. I'm just smug because, once again, Rothwell is bossing the game from CM.
  22. Bit of Libertines at half time - for the 20 people in attendance. Tbf if I was in charge of the stadium audio I'd be having my own private concert too!
  23. We struggle to beat teams that set themselves up as difficult to beat (we don't quite have the craft to break them down) - which is what I thought Wycombe would do. They've come here to play football - obviously sensed weakness looking at our Goals Against column. We've put them to the sword.
  24. Wycombe look poor tbf. They've clearly gone into this match thinking they can get something and that's played right into our hands.
  25. Brereton and Rothwell have been phenomenal today. Who do we complain about this evening?!
