There's no improving a player like Williams, Bell or Lenihan. You can't improve their instincts at this point - Williams was caught flat footed with a ball played into the channel behind him a couple of times. That's criminal.
-
It's incredible, isn't it? I've just caught myself thinking "pretty pleased with this performance. Looked dangerous and creative..... oh, we've conceded 3. Again".
-
He was still doing more running than Holtby and Johnson.
-
Professional footballer, Cory Evans, fails to convert unmarked from 6 yards out.
-
He lost the ball on halfway. For most teams that doesn't automatically result in a goal for the other team.
-
He's looked solid. Would have been worldies to keep any of their shots out.
-
Same problems, different season. We can score, but we can't defend. Bournemouth haven't deserved this at all, but we've only got Tony Mowbray to blame.
-
Brilliant from Armstrong. Frustrating player, but that's what he provides.
-
So Mowbray's taking off our most effective wide man in JRC and continuing with his failed experiment of trying to turn Rothwell into a wide player. Fucking moron.
-
Bet he didn't watch any film of Rovers before signing. He must wonder what the hell he's let himself in for.
-
Baffled we're not all over that if that bid is true.
-
Heads have gone down. Travis got tackled and took an age to get back to his feet.
-
It sounds like he's not even interested in incremental gains. He's looking for a brilliant (at this level) CB or nothing. Just a better LB than Bell and a better CB than either Lenihan (who's massively overrated) or Williams would make a world of difference. Doesn't have to be Van Dijk.
-
Their commentators are even mixing up Brereton and Armstrong now. Not sure how they get paid for this.
-
Lenihan was poor. Bell didn't bust a gut to get out and close down the Bournemouth player (we had a reprieve when they overhit the cross, but Bell jogged after it) and Holtby was nowhere. Team effort.
-
Shit defending.
-
Part of the problem is we've got another Jordan Rhodes upfront. A #9 who provides v. little but goals. Beggars can't be choosers, obviously, but it hurts your attacks. Added to that we have no aerial threat upfront, so everything has to intricately overplayed.
-
We look much better with JRC playing wide right than we have as a team in a while. He provides great balance to the team.
-
I've got the 'Radio Solent' audio on my stream. When he skinned two of their players on that long run that ended with the shot, they made excuses for both. One slipped, apparently, and one didn't want to foul him. ? More of that please, Ben.
-
I can see why Man City let JRC go at such a young age now. Tidy player, but just lacks that yard of pace you'd need at the top level to be a consistent threat.
-
Someone else with a dodgy keeper! It's a lovely feeling.
-
JRC continues to provide great balance. He's not been much of an attacking threat so far, but good lord does he make himself available for the ball.
-
That's a couple of times now Brereton has laid the easy ball off rather than driving for goal. Armstrong would have shot on sight.
-
My stream keeps looping. They should use this as a torture method in Guantanemo Bay. It's incredibly frustrating.
-
Against the run of play and exactly what we didn't need. Doubt we get a result from here.
