You saw this with JDT's first season - you can't wait around to rebuild. The Playoffs are there for the taking with even a modicum of investment. The year after drawing plaudits from everyone for our style of play and losing out on the Playoffs by goal difference we were in a relegation dogfight.

That was literally the most attacking lineup we could put out there (save changing formation entirely). He did the same against Millwall - tried to win it rather than simply running Dolan / Hedges out there as defensive wingers and trying to nick it. We weren't scared of losing, we just simply don't have the horses.

It was, but I'd love our wingers to just do that all game - whip crosses into the danger area. Eventually a CF / CAM / opposite winger is going to gamble and get on the end of one. That cross was by far the best thing ACD did all game.

Personally I don't think it's anything to do with not having quick CBs (they're not slow either) it's that teams just push up on us because they know we can't hurt them over the top. It's very difficult to dictate play like that without an Adam Wharton type player in midfield who can a) turn the man pressing him and carry the ball into attack and b) has an incredible range of passing.
