  1. I have to say, with the current form and injury plight that we're in, i cant see a winning this one. A draw at best. Cmon Rovers prove me wrong!
  2. no one wouldve thought that we would beat man utd and arsenal at home, but we did. keep the faith! would be thrilled to get a win or draw but wouldnt be too disappointed if we did lose. all in all its been a great season.
  3. lets hope that's not the case we absolutey must win against charlton if not, not only has it been bye bye champions league, but it will be bye bye UEFA as well
  4. kuqi joking aside, if im not wrong, in terms of scoring midfielders, only lampard, giannakopoulos, and nolan has scored more goals than mgp. for all i care, he can play like crap the entire game, as long as he's scoring goals. at the end of the day, its only the goals that matter. sure he has not been scoring lately, but neither has reid, bently, savage (aside from the birmingham match). so lets just get off his back.
  5. ? how can he have little flair but at the same time be one of our flair players? i'd say, its not the end. sure he's having a bad spell now, but the rest of the team is not playin so well at moment either. though having said that, i really hope he'll regain his goal scoring form soon.
  6. imo 4th place is out of reach. just like looking up at the stars. CL was so close yet so far. i cant possibly see spurs and gunners losing their remaining matches. as for rovers winning all their remaining matches, i just cant see it.
  7. i didnt get a chance to see the incident myself but from what i read, his actions did sort of cross the line. anyways i had always prefer nelsen as the captain because of his leadership skills. having said that, i would still rate todd slightly over zura.
  8. good read joey! as optimistic as i would like to be, i'd have to agree with simon. With the way we're playing cant see us winning this one. cmon rovers prove me wrong! hope pongo is not ill once more, and peters to start in place of mgp.
  9. before the portsmouth game... nevermind hopefully we'll regain our form before the liverpool game... nevermind hopefully we'll regain our form before the birmingham game... nevermind hopefully we'll regain our form its all starting to sound like wishful thinking.
  10. what a wonderful start to a brand new day 2 points in the last 4 games. at this rate we can kiss europe good bye
  11. its like some nightmare. crap wish i still dreaming
  12. by the look of things, it does sound like peters has been more active comin on for MGP. i could be mistaken as im not watchin the match
  13. they're showing the delayed telecast at 5 in the morning here in singapore. cmon rovers! lets start my day on a high
  14. from the refree forum http://www.officialsports.co.uk/cgi-bin/ub...=2;t=000298;p=0 The Law clearly defines "involvevment in active play" thus: - Interfering with play means playing or touching the ball passed or touched by a team-mate. (He did not) - Interfering with an opponent means preventing an opponent from playing (he did not) or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision (he did not) or movements or making a gesture or movement which, in the opinion of the referee, deceives or distracts an opponent (if either GK or defender were "distracted" by that leg waggle, perhaps they should find alternative employment). IMHO Not offside, good decision in line with FIFA intent to reward attacking football. ??? so if im reading this correctly, if lua lua was in cisse's position and he did his usual somersults infront of the ball without touching it, that would be considered ok?? seeing all the people there agreeing with the call absolutey makes my stomach churn IMO this rule is just set up so that fans, players, and mangers cannot argue with the refs whenever they make a mistake.
  15. not sure what to expect out of this game so not gonna go for any predictions really hope that rovers can really turn things around especially with newcastle breathing down our necks. the 3 points are crucial to say the least. sparky needs to change the starting if we are to regain our form. emerton in, mgp out. bentley to partner bellers.
  16. be it krama or what, a lost is still a lost. its totally depressing to read all the post games comments. this match, like any horribe ex girlfriend experience is best forgotten and not mentioned again. here's to looking forward to wed's match. c'mon rovers! lets secure that 6th place spot
  17. apparently raising the leg towards the ball as cisse had clearly done is considered inactive the ref claims their decision was indeed right cos he didnt touch the ball, thus he's considered "inactive". this whole active and inactive rule is just bullsh!t!
  18. one screwed up mistake by the ref and it seems like we're gonna lose should be a draw at least. even my grandmother can see cisse was active
  19. our lingering CL dreams are quickly fading.. if rovers cant pull out e crucial 3 points tml, hola UEFA adios CL.
  20. so far so good. 1-0 chelsea up at half time
  21. gonna be a hard fought match, but we'll pull through. rovers 2-1
  22. my vote's for nelson. wouldve votted for bellamy had he played more games
