  1. With Bournemouth equalising too, this is feeling like one of those days....
  2. Yeh very borderline, and I always feel the second yellow should be more than just a normal yellow, even though that's not in the rules lol. When it's soft and the first card was nonsense, wtf is the ref playing at? Ego I reckon. Already observed he looked like a smug egotist earlier on.
  3. Last thing I want to see, Kaminski down. I will say it again - our recruitment priority in the rest of this window should be a reliable deputy keeper.
  4. Unreal. That petty yellow for 'dissent' earlier and we go down to 10. Like I said before, Nyambe not the type to say much.
  5. BBD is the one who has the reputation. Gally isn't a diver. Not gonna lie, I didn't see the replay, but it just looked like their man standing his ground to me. Didn't look a pen, despite how sharply it stopped Gally's run.
  6. Nyambe gets criticised for his delivery, sometimes fairly, but someone really should have been attacking that ball he played. It was a prime position to lash it home.
  7. Class save. 1-1 if that was Pears. We must sign a decent backup.
  8. Surely it would make more sense to just put Davenport on for Travis directly. Honestly, our general play is just very poor today. Only the defence can take any credit. Very fortunate to be ahead and unlikely we can sustain it without improvement.
  9. I find it very hard to believe that Nyambe of all people said something to the ref that deserved a yellow...
  10. Really don't think we can afford to keep inviting them on for this half like we did in the last. Not unless we snag a counter attack goal some time soon.
  11. What has happened to Buckley's ability to decide whether to shoot or pass!?
  12. Glad we scored an early goal, puts my mind at ease about us losing our clinical edge lately. But we seem to have just sat back ever since.
  13. Well, anybody who has been able to get the game up mind giving us an update on how it's going?
  14. I see. I don't see that as a good reason to play earlier, personally.
  15. I'm sorry why is this on at 12:30 again?? I also can't get in on Rovers TV so I had a look at Now TV (basically Sky), assuming this must be one of our million suddenly televised games and I can't find it on there either.
  16. Good move for his development for sure, I agree it should improve him. But I think it may prove ill advised for the club this season. We have 4 very good CBs to fill our 3 places. One is highly injury prone. Another may be prone to karate kicking someone now and then. The other two have been known to have injury problems. If we lose 2 of them at any point to injury, suspension, or covid, we are now very thin on the ground and may be best advised to switch from our winning formation. Magloire was very, very poor earlier this season, Johnson and Nyambe are not CBs but would probably be used there. It's probably a season too early for Ash Phillips.
  17. He just doesn't appeal to me. Sounds like a French second tier Rhodes, which isn't the sort of player that this side needs. But hey, I've not seen him, it could be a roaring success. As I've just said though it doesn't seem an area we need another player after Markanday.
  18. Please explain how we are short up front? There are 2 spots in the current formation. They're contested by BBD, Khadra, Gallagher, Dolan, Markanday (if he signs, and I'm guessing you meant as well as him) and even Butterworth. That's 6 players for 2 spots. Markanday isn't leaving Spurs (who he supports) due to not playing there in order to not play here. Midfield I agree, and then a reliable backup goalie who won't chuck the ball in our own net.
  19. Put him on the bench then. We have a league to get out of. Your country's choice to use a high elevation to gain an unfair advantage against your opponent is not only not our problem, but you'll have nearly a full team who will have acclimated whilst your opponents haven't. If that's not enough, tough. Not directed at you per se, just the notion that we should be missing our top scorer in a crucial promotion charge due to your tactical decisions regarding games that are already being played outside of the international break. We wish Chile the best, and wish Ben the best playing for Chile. But no way in hell would I be sanctioning him missing a game that's 3 whole days before yours if it's in our power.
  20. Very harsh to say Dack slowed down play. Don't agree with that. He isn't the quickest (quicker than he gets credit for though) but he is a quick thinker which compensates. You may be thinking of the need we used to have to lump it to Graham so he could knock it down for Dack, and then obviously Graham wasn't all that quick for playing a through ball etc back to. With different tactics and players around him I don't think he will slow play at all. Unless his injuries have taken their toll, that is. But he won't be bursting in behind the lines with tons of pace like Khadra and Brereton...he should be able to play them in nicely though.
  21. And that one had an even harder time getting into the Hertha side...plus we were in the Prem.
  22. That's interesting, because I think Scott Wharton is going to be a Premiership defender. Best CB (potential wise) to break through since Jones. Better than Hanley ever was for us. If his brother has even more potential, that's excellent. And both Rovers fans from Blackburn, right? We have a really exciting crop. Of course the reality is always that at least half of the ones we are excited about won't make it here, but if anything like half of them do, it will be a huge boon.
  23. Obviously that's an unrealistic fee but I'd take it without hesitation. Sorts out the money for promotion without getting promotion..and is enough money to buy a replacement, strengthen elsewhere and still potentially go up. With money to spare.
  24. Good news. May be a good player but his injury record was terrifying.
  25. He also hadn't fired us to third in the league and given us our best shot at promotion since we came down though.
