  1. We are really taking the piss now, Johnson was trying to sneak in a wank while receiving possession and playing a pass!
  2. Stupid from Lenihan for me.
  3. That's the kind of thing Dolan needs to learn about. Never ever fanny about with tricks in and around your own area. Do it the simple way.
  4. Cracking meaty tackle from JRC there though.
  5. He wouldn't have been ready, as hungry from being released, and would have cost money with a sell on? Nah I'm good how it worked out.
  6. JRC...didnt play the pass through to Arma at the right time, then played it badly, then swanned back to position casually looking unfit or not arsed. You're the right back lad, get back in position! This game is going amazingly well, but that's still looking like the wrong choice.
  7. Fucking hell!!!! I'm still asleep and dreaming right? What a cruel dream this will be to wake up from....
  8. That's a red card all day but let's give nothing beyond a free kick eh? Ref scared to make a big call early
  9. Weird to see quite a few on here defending the decision to keep Nyambe on the bench because we won last time against poor opposition. If JRC had played a blinder, fine, but he didn't. If TM hadn't changed winning sides in nonsensical ways umpteen times before, fine, but that's blatantly not his policy. This change would have made sense, unlike many he has done. Nobody, NOBODY would have been complaining if Nyambe had come in for JRC. Especially if JRC had replaced Bell too. Don't act like the board would have been in uproar because he made one very rational change.
  10. Btw does anyone know how the ifollow match pass money is split? I know for the cup it was 50/50 but all I've found about league games was the home side keeps the first 500 bought by away fans, and the away side keeps the money from any further away purchases. But that was for League One, I don't know if the rules or figures change for Championship.
  11. I don't recall ever seeing anybody 'tear apart' Ryan Nyambe. Even seen him keep the likes of Grosicky quiet at times.
  12. Last time out, I was fuming that TM dropped Nyambe for JRC. However, I rationalised it (before kick off I may add) by posting that he probably expected to sit in Wycombe's half most of the match, therefore Nyambe's barnstorming runs are less necessary to move us up the pitch and that perhaps he thought putting a midfielder in there, with better delivery, would be more fruitful. The result and TM's comments after the match backed this up, and the talk about how much football RN had played, and being a player whose hamstring might suffer from too much intensity, made sense in this context. This decision is an entirely different kettle of fish. Another week has passed, so unless there's been a bit of a niggle problem in training, fitness isn't an issue. And this isn't Wycombe at home, it's Derby away. They've started with two defeats and may be vulnerable, but we certainly can't expect to dominate the game the same way. On top of that, I'm a fan of JRC but he hasn't looked that great in his last two outings, whereas Nyambe has looked in great form with improved deliveries. Not playing Nyambe is hardly going to help with contract discussions either. I'd genuinely want to leave if I was him (excluding the fact I'm a Rovers supporter). This is a big hairy dropped bollock. We might get away with it on the pitch today but it's a very worrying sign that Tony STILL hasn't figured out that Nyambe is by far and away our best fucking right back. In fact he's by far and away our best full back. It would have made considerably more sense to drop Bell for JRC and keep Nyambe at RB. By not doing so, TM is virtually saying that Bell is a better full back than Nyambe. It's madness. Unless JRC has morphed into a far superior RB in the last week, there are only so many possible forgiveable explanations for this: 1) Nyambe had some niggles in training and we are wary of giving him a full 90 on the back of them. 2) Wait no, there's just number one. The unforgiveable ones include that it's because of an unsigned contract, or TM is just up to his usual shit of making the wrong selections. Even if we win today, then unless it ends up being very clearly because of JRC, it will have been the wrong decision as it simply makes no sense unless it's because of niggles. The rest of the team, I'm good with given our options.
  13. It certainly is. Their discussion ran it's course quite some time ago, with all salient points made really. Not that we aren't all prone to circular debates from time to time but some people engage in them nearly every day.
  14. They can and I've mentioned that before. But in reference to the original potter's comments about Championship sides being put off by his wage demands, I can't imagine Fleetwood can put out an overall better package than Championship sides. I think he just isn't sufficiently desirable at this level anymore.
  15. Don't think that's it. The max Fleetwood are allowed to contribute is 2.5k p/w and we are still entertaining that. Shouldn't be an issue for a Championship side.
  16. I know it's the previous game, but I didn't want to resurrect the last thread just for it. Just watched this and thought it was funny as: https://m.facebook.com/groups/702046296583427?view=permalink&id=3434303000024396&comment_id=3434877833300246&notif_t=group_comment_mention&notif_id=1600785601977203&ref=m_notif
  17. So much news! So little of it good.
  18. Correlation doesn't equal causation though. We are just one of many businesses they own. We can't claim credit for their share increase. We have certainly increased their profile, but they've also looked like bumbling clowns in the public glare for large periods due to it.
  19. 11 goals and 7 assists I make it, between his first game in this league and the last of 2019. 4 goals and an assist in the cups in that period too, though I assume you meant league given your phrasing. Either way I'd hardly call that 'very few goals/assists' unless he had been played exclusively up top, which he wasn't. Transfermarkt has him down, in his first season for example, as playing only 11 up top in all competitions, which we know was sporadically too without a settled run there. The rest were in our beloved 'wing striker' role where he has been pretty much the only guy to score a respectable amount in this league for us. He was only 21 when we signed him permanently too so I don't think his numbers were bad. They just came in purple patches was the issue. You're right that his form was getting too wobbly for most just before Dack's injury though. Personally I've defended him throughout his time with us when others criticised, because I've seen what his pace does for advancing us up the pitch and that he always carries a threat and the possibility of changing a game, and would come good. I was tiring of the indifferent performances too though around then, and agreed he needed to spend a game or two on the bench to wake him up. That was the only time I agreed he should be dropped though, and only briefly. Personally I think some people still carry their biases from before when they made their minds up on him, from the fact I've seen some people say we should snap a club's hands off if they offer 10 million, and the general comments they make about him. Not saying that's you of course.
  20. Good approach. They obviously never asked for it, or decided they didn't care.
  21. Strange perception. Contributed since he joined us. It's been sporadic at times but he's been notching goals for us for quite a while. He cost a decent fee and has a much higher profile. Dolan is very exciting but he has one goal for us. 'Since January' is a lot more than double 'since a few weeks ago' when Dolan started playing games for us. The goals this calendar year are also 14 for Arma, 1 for Dolan. The ratio isn't about right. But that was my point in the first place, that it shows how exciting Dolan is.
  22. If we'd have spent the other 2 million anyway, it would have been spent somewhere. Maybe a CB so we didn't need to sign Ayala. Maybe another striker - and sometimes a cheap option actually works out better than the pricey one. Maybe an actual winger.
  23. Keeping Raya and not buying Gally leaves us about 2 million better off, not half a million. And that's before we factor in Gally's higher wage.
