Be gutted if we only get 13,009 on now.
-
Yes, midweek Champs fixtures are all supposed to be available on Sky.
-
What does that mean, play his way out of Charlton?
-
Ok so you said we don't have enough soldiers for our soldiers:artists balance. You then named 12 players and listed 3 as definite soldiers, 3 soldiers in spirit, 2 sometimes soldiers, 1 soldier in the making, and 1 you admit you have no idea yet. There were only 2 players out of 12 you mentioned then described as having no soldier in them at all. One of those was the goalie, who simply doesn't count. Not sure what your concern is? Seems enough rough and tumble to me. And teams have hated playing against us as we harry them all game (except first half Millwall).

We should dominate possession in this one, which makes me wonder whether Graham, with his hold up play and intellgence, will be a better bet than Armstrong, whose pace is lethal when there is space. I can't see pointless Reading coming to win this one, they will park the bus.
-
Haven't seen anyone write him off, and I have read this thread a lot. People just have very reasonable reservations and wonder if the money can be better spread out. I don't get why people always have to jump to extreme statements on this board (not just you).
-
As far as I'm aware, he has not said he wants to keep him, nor that he is unavailable. Not heard even a rumour of that either, only assumptions.

We bid for McGinn.
-
True, but I don't think we are. Mowbray has mentioned Chapman in the same breath as Armstrong before in his assessment of where targets were at, and we know how that turned out. There may be some little disagreement over fee etc, or possibly Mowbray is waiting to see how the big money bids go, to see what he can spare. I doubt he is off the radar altogether.
-
Huh, where did you get the 93 games from? Guess the one I found wasn't accurate. Didn't think it made any sense.

A 21 year old midfielder/striker from Northern Irish football who doesn't even have a wikipedia page. Very random. I wonder what the situation was there. Good goals record it seems (16 in 20) and yet only gets a handful of games a season despite being prolific for the last 5 when he does play. Do they only have a few games a season over there or something? And everyone is always scoring? If not this is a weird one. Injury prone maybe, unless this site's stats are incomplete. http://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=81743&season_id=151

On another day we'd have thrashed them, actually.
-
I'm always terrified of these games where we miss so many gilt edged chances...they have a tendency to end a certain way...
-
Can't pretend I understand these last two subs.
-
That was never a free kick, ever. Dangerous spot.
-
Benno was down injured a while after missing it. Pretty obvious something went as he was hitting it is how he missed. Not rocket science. Gutting though.
-
Smallwood, like Bennet, clearly has no confidence in his ability to smash one in and would rather play a pass to someone in no space. Must do better.
-
Jesus, Hull will be thanking their lucky stars they aren't losing this yet. Dack, Palmer and Arma are a truly terrifying trio!
-
He has shown he score from the position he was in, bit of an odd one. Pass was a nothing ball, shoulda gone for it. Not sure whether Arma got fouled in the box there or not. Good start, looking like we can get a lot of chances today if we keep it up.
-
Very surprised he has stuck with Arma up front. Could mean we are going for the win, or just that we plan to hit them on the counter with Armstrong's pace. Or simply that TM is being cautious with DG's knees.
-
If we get him, I hope you're wrong. Don't want a player who simply doesn't want to be here and starts with his head down. Especially an inordinately expensive one.

http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16445160.rovers-boss-considering-the-here-and-now-for-lewis-travis/?ref=mac Interesting, honest interview from Mowbray as always, although I think he could choose his words more carefully. I do think Travis needs to go on loan to League One, whether we recruit more or not. Even if we shift Whittingham too, we have Bennett, Smallwood, Evans, Davenport, Rothwell who can all play in there. Trav needs regular, mans football. I'd send him off for the season, with a recall option. If we get injuries or decide he can be further up the pecking order we could just bring him back. Should be sent to a club with an understanding of regular game time, and that if he doesn't see it we bring him back. If Mowbray is interested in a decent loan deal for him (which he certainly seems to be) he should avoid talking about how error prone he is. If I were a fan of a League One team linked with him, I would read those comments and feel a bit nervous. Also odd where he says he has great awareness, then gives an example of absolutely terrible awareness.

I don't think he would have to fail all that spectacularly to not be trading hands for 8 million again. It's a lot of money. He would only have to show he was below average or not develop much further and we would make a significant loss.
-
A magician? I'd be forced to conclude he was some kind of celestial being! Just getting their wages gone in full without a payoff or subsidising them would imply witchcraft at the bare minimum.

I just want the right thing to happen
