  1. Usually gets postponed by 3/4 months at a time. Its all pointless, this case will never be heard.
  2. This is just presumed, there hasn't been anything released saying that prices would be announced at 9am. Nobody at the club starts work until 10am anyway!
  3. What does he bring to the team, in you're opinion?
  4. Postponed until August 26th is my guess.
  5. We'll concede in the first 10-15 minutes. Show a bit of huff and puff but create nothing. Concede again either just before or just after half time, and go on to lose 3-0. 12th consecutive away defeat against a promoted side, and the easiest 3 points Portsmouth get all season.
  6. I think if we're planning on having Duru, Batty, O'Riordan, Garrett and Markandey in the squad next season then we're in more trouble than I originally thought. Jury out on Duru, but 8 appearances in the 4th division doesn't really fill me with hope no matter how promising he looked in kids fooball. The rest of them though are nowhere near, and probably never will be good enough for this level.
  7. I do generally agree with this, and if it wasn't for my lad lm not sure i would be renewing. I've always liked to think that my ST money has helped contribute to the wages of some of the few good people left behind the scenes at the club. Seems there has been a massive shift recently and we could be onto record low sales.
  8. Yep. They have really healthy sales every year at this time because they are on sale early and the prices are great.
  9. Depends what the mandate was when he took over? Seeing as the club were still receiving parachute payments, maybe they agreed that he would have them in and around the top 2? If that was the case, then yes being 9th in March was probably a sackable offence.
  10. But he was never the "pacey winger" that we were crying out for. A quick look at his youth highlights could see that he wasn't particularly quick, just another one that is fairly sharp over 5/10 yards and comes inside on his left foot all the time.
  11. How long have you been saying this? If we haven't sorted it by now, we never will. Pears will still be number one here, I'd put my mortgage on it, and even if somehow he isn't, his replacement will be even worse because that's what happens here. I expect incoming recruitment to be 5 young, small, slow, but technically gifted players to come in on loan. After decent seasons Weimann and Batth will more than likely get better offers from elsewhere, as I bet if we do even bother offering them new terms they will be on less than what they earn now. Riberio I would put in that category as well. Forshaw we shouldn't be going anywhere near for another year, but suspect we will. Fully expecting Duru, Litherland, Powell, Dunn & Tyjon to be heavily involved next season too.
  12. Literally no negotiation has to happen to trigger that. I imagine, it's like Gallagher last summer where we triggered his one year extension and we will be floating him around for a fairly cheap fee to get him off the books instead of letting him go for nothing.
  13. Had a good week of it so far, all helped by Elliot Jackson. Safe Standing going ahead VI going on about a summer rebuild and how exciting it is Hyam contract option triggered Wonder what other PR driven nonsense we'll see before the next game.
  14. Thought they would at least trigger the options on those two. Suppose they will think cheaper replacements can be found though. EDIT - Elliot saying that Hyam's option has been triggered, presumably so they can sell him on for a small fee like Gallagher last summer.
  15. I still wonder how many of the match going fanbase realise who this bloke is. Now don't get me wrong, Waggott needs to go and deserves some stick but i do find myself frustrated when i hear the chants of "steve waggott get out of our club". These chants should 100% be aimed at Suhail.
  16. Think as a club we did mess up a bit after winning the league, a bit too much loyalty shown to the side who lets be honest limped over the line at the end. That summer for me we were crying out for some strength in the key positions. A new centre half, a central midfielder, a left winger and a striker were musts to keep us challenging. No reason why we couldn't have gone on and got a couple more league titles and maybe a domestic cup or two in the rest of the 90's. Obviously by the time oil money came in we would no doubt have slid down the league anyway looking at the top 6 as our ceiling much like we did from 01-10 before these idiots came in. Grateful for what we witnessed, but a real missed opportunity to take it a bit further I think.
  17. Probably not, but wouldn't be more beneficial to have someone like say O'Grady Macken in the squad rather than Forshaw? (Don't know if he is any good by the way but only midfielder could think of who must be 19/20 by now?)
  18. Ah right, yeah I wouldn't be believing that personally.
  19. Rudy's eyes lit up at the budget question and getting in another chance to tell everyone we don't get transfer fees all up front. Also telling us how grateful we should be to the owners again. When was the above recorded? Feel like it was before the one further up.
  20. What reports are these? As always said, they aren't going anywhere, and no chance they put the club in admin and handover the power to someone else. They will still be here at the turn of the next decade, while the club rots away in either the 3rd or 4th division.
  21. We didn't manage to get away tickets unfortunately as we didn't quite have enough stubs to qualify, think we were one maybe two short but did manage to go and sit in the Anfield Road End with the Liverpool fans. My mum used to work lunchtimes in a pub in the week and two Liverpool fans who were season ticket holders used to go in every lunchtime for a couple of pints and got to know my mum quite well. After the Newcastle Monday night game they went in and gave her there season tickets for the day so we could go and watch and experience it as it was a pretty nothing game for them and they had obviously seen Liverpool win numerous leagues. I didn't find out until the morning of the game which was probably the best surprise I have ever had. Of course I went decked out in blue and white and nobody bat an eyelid, and the Liverpool fans were brilliant with us, we were in the block nearest to the Rovers fans but when we took our seats everyone ushered us along so we could be right next to the Rovers fans for the best experience possible. Felt really lucky as a 14 year old lad being able to witness all that when there were thousands of long standing Rovers fans who couldn't get anywhere near a ticket. My lad is 14 now and is every bit invested in Rovers as I was then, just a shame the experience nowadays is so so different. Venkys out.
  22. An absolute berk this guy is.
