  1. I reckon we'll know the dates of the dingle games before we know who will be in charge for them.
  2. They will both be Sunday at noon. 9am departure from Ewood for the away game🙄
  3. Like everything they will get around to it when they are ready.
  4. That would imply there is some sort of plan in place, which i very much doubt. Unless Ainsworth has put his "application" in i doubt the Rovers hierarchy whoever they might be, wouldn't have given him a second thought.
  5. They should introduce a flexi ticket for domestic fans too really. Other clubs do them, i have a few mates around here who support Port Vale and they offer 10 & 15 game ST's aswell as the full one. Accept that they would probably have to be slightly more pro rata per game but i'm sure it would help a lot out.
  6. Remember those cup ties against Villa, and then the season after against Liverpool. As a kid i remember there was such excitement around the games and such a buzz about the place. Nowadays, save for the Liverpool games in 2015 the cup has become such a non event for the club.
  7. Yeah thought it would be the bare minimum to be honest. Looking at the dates, they are back on 20th June i think i read, so i would expect a game on the weekend of 2nd July, then maybe another one either that midweek or in the midweek after the Stanley game. Potentially 3 league games before the Carabao Cup kicks off.
  8. Looks like they are doing something at least to the pitch according to Rovers twitter account.
  9. Portsmouth for 500k if there local journo is to be believed 😆
  10. The only guarantee for next season is that we will loan 5 players in.
  11. Always said that the 2017 relegation was the best thing to happen to Mowbray, but the worst thing to happen to the club because a huge portion of our fanbase seem to think that is our natural level now. Seems to have killed any ambition with a lot of folk. I think of Mowbray had kept us up in 2017, a lot of folk who have him down as a saviour today would have been fed up of him long ago.
  12. It will be weeks before there will be an appointment, i'm going for third week in June.
  13. At the end of the day, even if Rothwell had gone and we got a couple of decent players in, we still would have had Mowbray in charge so nothing would have gone any differently.
  14. They will have seen the previous manager get 5 years at the job, under very little pressure, to do what he wants at the club. What manager in todays world wouldn't want that?
  15. Raya, Nyambe, Lenihan, Mulgrew, Williams, Bennett, Evans, Conway & Graham were all lauded as hero's after finishing second in league one, Mowbray inherited all them. Bowyer inherited Murphy, Etuhu, Best, Orr, DJ Campbell, Kean, Goodwillie and about 50 Portuguese lads. I don't rate Bowyer at all, but to turn that shitshow around and not only keep us up (which Mowbray didnt), but finish 8th the year after was a decent feat for a rookie manager in his first job. It took Mowbray 5 years to finish 8th. Anyway, like i said, not really the thread for it....
  16. Bowyer definitely inherited the club in a weaker position that Mowbray. This isn't the thread for that though. Mowbray has done ok, probably the bare minimum i would expect for someone given 5 years to shape the club how he saw fit, also feel like we have wasted a few years as he took us on this ridiculous journey though.
  17. The one thing we can guarantee, is that nothing is going to happen quickly. I predict we'll announce something in around a month or so.
  18. Yet there are many out there that would have you believe that the fans are the main problem at the club.
  19. If Lowe has to stay couldn't they just stick him in the youth setup seeing he came from there previously? Presume Ben Benson will be staying too.
  20. Gav, how has Neil got a worse record than Mowbray? They were 13th when they sacked him while we were flying high in 15th. He finished above Mowbray in each of his last 3 seasons, without the luxury of spending millions on strikers too. He's a much better manager.
  21. I read it wrong the first time and selected Woodgate. Obviously i thought the question was who do you think will be the next manager. Who i want is obviously Farke.
