  1. I thought at the time that the Baradji medical had picked up an issue that could be an issue rather than him being injured right now. See how he comes through today, but if he gets through unscathed i cant see his club dropping the fee or axceptinf an alternative deal for him.
  2. I saw that earlier, it's an opinion piece rather than a transfer link.
  3. This part is definitely incorrect, all loans whether they are over or under 21 have to be registered. Still pretty certain that Leonard and Montgomery would need registering this coming season.
  4. Is this definitely correct? I was under the impression that anyone 21 and over had to be registered, which would include Leonard and Montgomery.
  5. Elliot said he was told that Baradji is seen as a "6 or a 8" (๐Ÿคฎ) but i did wonder the same, seems to have played quite a few games at right midfield, and a few on the left over the past couple of seasons.
  6. Take Whartons case, nobody is asking for the whole fee to be reinvested, but half of that fee would have bought two very good championship players, and it's what all normal clubs do. Here though it's just a few hundred grand here and there, and pass it off as significant investment.
  7. This requires forward and proper planning, so unlikely I would suggest.
  8. I think two strikers. Leonard has to go on loan, he can't have another season here being 3rd choice at his age. I dont think we'll sign another striker though, I think Kargbo will be used there if the other two are unavailable as he played there a lot for his last club, and there's Tyjon who could be used but seems better in the "10".
  9. Yep. Everyone else bar our new signings, Atcheson and O'Riordan are out of contract 2027. I think Montgomery and Leonard would need registering this year so I count 22 players who are 21 and over there, so barring no departures enough for 3 more players.
  10. Add Hedges, Montgomery & Mullarkey-Matthews to those 5 who are included in the squad now but out of contract next summer.
  11. So Ismael has told Elliot that he would like at least two new players before the end of the window, "3 would be perfect" he says. Nothing is close.
  12. Some sketchy sources linking us to Bali Mumba and Marc Leonard this afternoon. On that RoversXtra twitter page for anyone interested.
  13. Looks promising. In reality he's a right back filling in as a right winger due to numbers. I think they will get someone in that position before the window shuts, but it won't be anyone who will come straight into the team it will be someone to back up Hedges.
  14. Isn't this just the norm with the minutes these days? They always seem to be released a few weeks after the meeting.
  15. Good. It's what this club deserves. Cynic in me says this is a way into Burnley without them paying compensation, could see him "on loan" there in 6 months.
  16. I reckon if Dolan was still here, then Hedges would still be first choice on the left.
  17. De Neve, because Dolan has left and they have had to put Hedges on the other side.
  18. I'm pretty confident that they will all be back up's, as all our other signings have been. Then those back up's will become starters next season when another load of players leave for nothing, rinse and repeat. We don't improve the first 11 here, not a priority.
  19. Out for 3 months with a stress fracture in his back.
  20. If Alebiosu came here for 500k, didn't play a game, spent a year or so out on loan, and we sold him for ยฃ2m afterwards, Chaddy would be saying it's a great move for everybody concerned.
  21. Pretty obvious that Kapaudi isn't coming now, not sure why he's still trying to push that one. Baradji I dunno, seems like they really want him, but it's a huge risk. As for Phillips, another good season at Stoke and you could be looking at selling him for ยฃ6m plus next summer, how is it a pointless signing for them if they more than double there money on him, all while probably having the majority of his wages covered for a couple of years via his loan spells? No guarentee he would have developed any better here, you're also forgetting that he's only just turned 20 years old.
  22. I'm not sure it is to be honest. You would need for me 3 GK's at both under 21 and Senior level for training purposes, also to cover for any injuries that might occur. I imagine someone like Barrett will be on absolute peanuts, probably not much more than the average working man.
  23. I imagine Barrett is very cheap to keep around for training purposes and to play in the under 21s as an older head. It looks to me that Michelski will be the 3rd (possibly 2nd if Pears does leave?) choice keeper to save a registration spot in the 25. Obviously depends if the Under 21's play on the same day as the seniors but concerned that could hamper his development if he's not playing as much. Although thinking about it there is a lot of under 21 games/competitions these days so sure he will play his fair share.
  24. He reckons two of them are still Kapaudi and Baradji. If they sell him on for a profit next summer, how is it a pointless signing?
