  1. My comments from watching it on the box. To be fair, yet again, we had a l;enient ref. They should definitely have had a en in the first half, they also had a good shout for one in the second half. Lucas was lucky he didn't make contact with Kim when he went through and hit the post. He made a lunge for a ball that he was never going to get. He was last man and would have been off. Derbyshire's movement was good, he kept making intelligent runs down the channels and pulled the CB's out of position. I'm sure he would love playing with Tugay, unfortunately the midfielders were not getting the ball in behind the defence enough. I didn't actually know Bentley was playng until 35 minutes had gone. The camera zoomed in on him and it was the first I had seen of him all match. Nolan came in and did ok, I thought Jay did ok as well. He got caught a couple of times but looked bright going forwards. I'm dissapointed with the way Lucas reacted to the goal. He had not played well and hasn't for a few games now. He's bound to take a bit of stick, he should be big enough to handle it. He had a good opportunity to win over some fans in the BBE but ruined it. All he had to do was celebrate the goal with the rest of the players. Instead he made all of the effort to run to the BBE and have a go. Shame really. To be honest I thought the commentators had a point. We were poor last night and got away with it. We were also lucky to not be well behind against Basle but somehow got a 3-0 out of that one. I'm not sure what game Hughes was watching, but we weren't the better team last night. At least that's it now until mid feb when I can look forward to another European trip. Book me a room Orvil, I've got permission to give Valentines day a miss this year, so I will be off away again.
  2. Todd and Ooijer could be a very useful cb pairing.
  3. I'm certainly not going to bit Jim, I know what you're like and what you are doing. I'm sure someone will shortly though.
  4. Jim, surely even you can't expect someone to bite at that!!!
  5. I can't belive that people are saying we ar too good to go down. That is not a reason, the West Ham team that got relegated was full of internationals and had iirc correctly finished 6 or 7th the season before. We are certainly not too good to go down, we need to start picking up results soon. I was actually pleased Newcastle picked up points last night, hopefully they won't have quite the same motivation as they would if they had lost. I'm hoping for a good win on Saturday to lift everyone.
  6. I guess it's not after this one Lee. Hereford won 4-0 today
  7. Umm, that would be the case Theno, if he was actually at Barca. He signed for his home town club in the summer. He's been in the Swedish league for the last few months.
  8. Instead of both reporting each others posts try ignoring each other. It's much easier.
  9. Fulham have won 3 of the last 4 ties at Ewood. Very tricky but one we need to win.
  10. 2 home 3 away. We've been saying for ages that it would be nice to have a red and black halved away shirt.
  11. On loan from January Just being reported on BBC
  12. I'm sure that'll give Vinjay something else to moan about Ste
  13. This came up on the Englandfans website and I thought it was quite interesting. If you could change one result in Rovers History what would it be. It could be one game that you feel started a bad run or just one game purely on result alone. Legia Warsaw, where we were a matter of minutes away from the last 16 of the champions league, arsenal in the FA Cup semi.... the list goes on. For me I guess it is the Southampton game at Ewood in the 1998 - 1999 season. We went down to a poor 2-0 defeat, if we'd won that game we would not have been relegated that season and would not thave had two seasons in the First Division.
  14. I'd settle for Jordan not calling me Nicky when he quotes me
  15. I'm hoping for a draw. To be honest it's al in our hands anyway. A win against Nancy sees us top the group whatever happens tonight.
  16. Bob don't stop. Let's have the full season of reviews. I'm sure we could chuck them in a book at the end of the season and make a fortune.
  17. He's moved up on the Bill Bailey Insanity rating from "mad as a box of frogs" to "mad as a bag of squirrels"
  18. I don't think we call him yajniv. I know thats what name he registred on the official site as so it might be to do with that. He's still barmy
  19. I saw him the week before when I was there with England. He was doing press ups with his pplant on his head and it got kicked off by some muppet. Everyone through in a few euro's for him and he seemed ok then. He's not the only pothead I saw out there.
  20. Earnshaw could be worth a shout as well as Eastwood. I'm still not sure why Earnshaw didn't make it at West Brom, his goalscoring record is excellent and Hughes knows him well from their time together with Wales. I've watched Eastwood a few times and I have been impressed with his movement and all round contribution. He will make the step up soon.
  21. Nope, wrong Vinjay. More people haven't sided with you as you are clearly as mad as a box of frogs.
