I just don’t see how we can make top 6 with a back four that concedes so many goals. I think we’ll be scrapping for bottom half if we don’t strengthen. I would be amazed if we bought in more than one which makes it a real challenge on which of the positions to sort. I can’t see us bringing in another CB if the manager thinks Tosin is the answer so in that case it may be a LB or RB. Can’t see us bringing in both

There’s no point in sacking him as they’ve made it clear that they are incapable of employing a top manager. We’d end up with some no mark who’s been bouncing around the management scene.

Maybe seeing Maguire go for £80m and Ake being priced at £70m will make the owners think about the defence if it’s true that they are solely interested in player profits.

My concern is that he identified the issue last season and did nothing to rectify it over the summer. We’ve wasted preseason by playing weak opposition (apart from Rangers) and playing the players who he already said weren’t good enough. We needed to be giving a new back 4 a good run of games. We can’t afford to throw away points with a tough few games coming up. We really had to hit the ground running.

Need a positive Chaddy post to level out all the negativity. It’s bound to be coming.

Well I dreamt 5-1 last night. Travis was one of the names on the score sheet. For the life of me I can’t remember the others.

I think we definitely need one but agree we could do with two ideally. It’s a shame the players will have to come in with no pre season games to get up to speed. Every point is priceless in the championship and we can’t afford to drop points while players get used to playing together.

If you’d told me 10 years ago that Mellison would be a mod I would have thought you’d lost your minds Good luck to all of the mods. I did it for around 10 years in the end.
