I haven’t read all through the thread but did anyone else notice that when there was a break in play for the Bacuna injury Danny Cowley was talking to all of his players and giving them instructions and encouragement. Mowbray wasn’t really doing anything. They scored pretty quickly afterwards.

The commentator mentioned that Williams was back after missing 6 games with injury. That’ll be the 6 good games we’ve had without him near the starting 11. Need Tosin back for the Birmingham game.

To be fair to him I don’t think any blame sits with Morsy. It wasn’t a really bad tackle or anything just the way he landed.

What about Ali Syed Phil? I do recall you being very pro his bid and posting that you had seen evidence of his financial clout and generally supporting his bid for the club. You don’t seem to mention it much since he ruined Racing Santander.

Wonder if Steven Caulker fancies a move back to the UK. Still only 28 and currently playing in Turkey. Not a world beater but probably a decent option in the market we find ourselves in.

Just coming on here to say the same Tom. He’s only 30 so plenty of years left in him if he can regain some of his previous form. I’d prefer to have him up top over Gallagher or Brereton that’s for sure. We don’t need a striker as we spunked £12m on two fairly average ones but I would have taken him on a free over the pair of them.

Hanley starts for Norwich so im presuming him coming back was never in the offing. He would have been involved in training all week ahead of starting tonight.

Charlie should be respected for what he has done whilst here. He’s been a very good player for us however we can’t ignore the fact that he’s not a great CB and not got the legs to play CM so he becomes a bit of a luxury. His free kicks and penalties hide the fact that he’s also at fault for a good number of goals throughout the season. He’s not one to put his head in and get really stuck in. It’s a shame he can’t play the deep lying midfielder role as his range of passing is good and we all know what he can do from a set piece. Biggest disappointment has to be not getting another CB in. I’d take Ashley Williams or Skrtal at this late stage.

All the Baggies fans I’ve spoken to have said he’s a better CB than full back. Is that what you meant or have you heard the opposite?

I think you’re probably the only one on here who doesn’t. EB is a key member of the squad but being played at RB is damaging his relationship with the fans. He’s always been popular but it’s not going to end well if he keeps having to play out of position.

Guessing a deal has been struck so Wednesday drop the legal action over Bruce leaving for Newcastle.

All three incomings on loan only and it would be a no. Cunningham and Hanley perm and Murphy loan and it might be tempting. massive risk letting Dack go and I would usually be dead against it but if it’s the only way we will strengthen the back line then it becomes more attractive.
