  1. Hughesy, where did you get the fact that we budgeted for being 17th?? I'm sure in the past we budgeted at finishing between 6th and 8th or something along those lines. I'm sure I read somewhere that our wage budget was within the top half of prem teams
  2. We are very difficult to predict. if you looked at our last 6 fixtures who would have had us to beat arsenal and Man U and lose to WBA and a 10 man Everton????
  3. Just noticed that Bentley is only 19.. he seems to have been around for a while. Thought he was a little older
  4. I've had no complaints with any of my Lonsdale footy shirts. The only one niggle was on last years home shirt as the HSA was stuck on the front like a piece of cardboard. Chuffed with all of the others.
  5. That choice cam second on our vote. to be fair it was only 5 votes off winning. seems like a fairly popular choice
  6. Just noticed that David Bentley has been called up to the England U21 side to face Norway. Well done fella
  7. Well here goes.... I've looked at each of the match reports for Rovers for the whole season. Bellamy has played 1348 minutes of football this season. He has completed 90 minutes 13 times. This means he is scoring once every 122.55 minutes....... Not a bad rate at all
  8. I found those stats Florida Rover, what I'm wondering is how many minutes they have played during those appearances. Bellamy has been sub for a number of his games so may not have played anywhere near as many minutes as another player with 21 appearances..... if that makes sense.
  9. I'm just wondering where Bellers would be standing in terms of goals against minutes played this season. He has 11 goals in 21 appearances, but a lot of those games he hasn't started (He's only started 15 games). I guess Owen would probably be above him and maybe Henry too. I think RVN has played most of Uniteds games so he might not be quite so high up.
  10. It's all gone back to court this week. Should have a decision on either Thursday or Friday. 4 million would certainly go nicely towards a decent centre forward to partner Bellers
  11. Don't think you can really class him as a regular in the Prem can you Waggy, that was after all his first start in the Premiership.... hardly a regular.
  12. I'll leave Ste, Glenn or Paul to answer that one but I am aware of fans websites getting in trouble in the past. Didn't Mike Newell have some sore of run in with fans of one of his previous clubs.... can't remember the details to be honest. We would rather air on the side of caution and ask members not to disclose names.
  13. Just a quick warning. We don't want the site to get shut down and I'm sure Admin don't want to get sued so can we not make allegations as to the names of the two footballers in question. I'm sure there are a number of us who are aware of the rumour and are also aware of the rumoured players identities but can we please keep it off the MB. Cheers, Ricky
  14. I bought mine for full price at the Newcastle game, they were reduced the following monday.... Cheers!!!
  15. So... If they only have one keeper left and can't name one on the bench it might be worth adopting a 'physical' approach when challenging him... get shefki to nail him in the first few minutes and we could see an outfield player in goal. Not that I condone that sort of behaviour, obviously
  16. Osman is also a forward, he will be playing. Don't want Beattie to play as I'm sure he would score past us
  17. Richard Wright has got injured during the warm up tonight. Martyn is already out. Wondering if either of them will be available on Saturday.
  18. Looks like we might be on the way to having one more Roverite. Despite the shocking game Linda's little boy actually really enjoyed his first match. He watched the game in his Rovers shirt and was delighted with his BRFCS.com badge (Thanks Paul, you're a star). Woke him up this morning to find that he had put his Rovers badge on his Pyjamas lol. He has decided that he now supprts both Blackburn and Chelsea now, just have to work on him to drop the latter.
  19. Good idea Tris. It'll be good to see you mate.
  20. I'm keen on the MDA Vario or XDA Mini S. Both the same model but on different networks. Very impressive indeed
  21. SSN have just shown the rovers shirt with Bet24 on the front of it.
  22. The Ewood faithful have been waiting for a 'hero' for some time, last night they got their hero. David Bentley, making his first appearence since signing a three and a half year contract from Arsenal silenced the travelling fans with a superbly taken hat trick. What Arsene Wenger would have given for a hat trick hero last night. It would appear that Bentley was snapped up for a nominal fee and hopefully the young former england u21 star will finally start to fulfill the promise shown over the previous years. Bentley's first goal came when he was first to react to an excellent save from a Morten Gamst Pedersen free kick, Van Der Sar throwing himself to his left to palm Pedersens pin point strike onto the post. Bentley nipped in and somehow managed to squeeze the ball between the keeper and Wes Brown. United hit back quickly when a fierce drive from Rooney was only pushed out as far as the off-side Louis Saha who struck the ball into the bottom left hand corner of Friedels goal. Replays showed that Saha was clearly off side when the shot from Rooney came into the box, and therefore should have been ruled out. Rovers responded in the best possible way and pushed United onto the back foot. A classic mix up between Ferdinand and Van Der Sar led to Rovers second goal of the night. A cross into the box was met by Ferdinand who completely missed his keeper with a back header that looped invitingly to Bentley. wes Brown did his best to keep the ball out but it was forced over the line by Bentley. Rovers fans were in elation, chants of Rio Rio Rio rang out around Ewood Park. Things got better on the turn of half time when a cross from Reid was handled by Wes Brown. Fergie could have no arguments, although he did, about the penalty, both Brown's arms came out behind him and a pen was the only outcome. The resulting penalty was coolly despatched by Lucas Neill, who slotted past the keeper with min imum effort. The crown went mad and at half time we were 3-1 to the good. The second half started brightly and Rovers were soon in dreamland and 4-1 up. Savage caught Neville out of position and wandered into acres of space before crossing for Bentley, who waited for the ball to drop before smashing an unstoppable strike past the United keeper. Bentley reeled away to celebrate and left RFW wondering if maybe Ferdinand wasn't a midfielder and maybe Van Nistlerooy wasn't a sub!!! Some poor defending led to United getting a goal back, Todd tried to shepherd the ball out of play but was caught out by Ronaldo who crossed the ball to Van Nistlerooy who had the easy task of slotting home from 1 yard out. Van Nistlerooy slotted his second, and United's third a few minutes later. At 4-3 the fans were getting nervous and Robbie Savage stated after the game that he felt that if united got one more goal they would go on to win the game...... they never got the goal and they never went on to win the game. Ferdinand was booked twice within 3 minutes, the second for a lunge on Robbie savage who left the pitch on a stretcher. Rovers held out and recorded their first double over united since just after the war, Bentley the scorer of the first ever premiership hat-trick past United. Obviously RFW took the defeat well and gave praise to the battling qualities of Rovers....... yeah right!!!!
  23. Did you see what price they were Paul. They are showing as £7.50 on the onlin shop but I know things have been different prices before. Makes a change for me to actually be able to view the online shop. The only size they have on the website is large Junior...... never sure how big that is
