I would be happy with any of the three. I thought Gallagher was decent last time he was here but some people who watched him more weren’t so impressed. Out of the three linked I have to say Austin would be my preferred option. Would fit straight into our system and take the pressure off Danny Graham.

I think it’s a bit harsh blaming us not having a CB on Mowbray not signing another one in the summer. It’s rare to have 4 players in one position all out at the same time.

He’d made a big deal of celebrating their goal in front of the away end and generally being a bit of a bell end so it wouldn’t surprise me if he’d intentionally left the foot in and then panicked when he saw what had happened.

I’ve just read on Facebook that he’s signed for our academy after joining from Liverpool. He’s been tagged as the Irish Messi and was at Barca before joining Liverpool. Anyone else heard anything about him joining? He’s still only 15 so definitely one for the future but he was hyped up as some sort of Wonderkid a few years ago.

He’s scored 8 goals and had 5 assists in 10 games this season Mercer. How much more do you want out of him??

Delighted with the three points but I dont think the change to three at the back did us any favours as I said on here during the match. We’ve tried playing it before and it’s my view that it just doesn’t work for us. We started last season with it, lost the first two games and then we’re forced to switch back to a flat back 4. It’s a formation the players seem more comfortable with. I’m not a fan of changing formation mid way through a game unless something major changes and you are chasing a win. I don’t think yesterday needed a change as we were comfortable for the first 20 minutes. I would assume that the players trained on the basis of playing the formation that we started the game with hence why we maybe didn’t look as good after the change.

He tried it last season and it didn’t work. He clearly likes a three at the back formation and today there was no need to switch to it in my opinion. We’ve invited pressure ever since the change.

We’ve been outstanding so far. We do seem to be sitting back a bit at the moment understandably but it does invite pressure.

7 in 68 doesn’t sound out of the ordinary so maybe it’s just our perception that we concede a lot of late goals. Yesterday’s was a sickener, watched the game with friends and once we took the lead I said we would concede in the 93rd minute. Wish I’d put a few quid on it.
