All the talk of loads of ex Rovers playing for them, they had two in the team last night (stoke had 4). Im heading up for this one, will be an early start but wanted to be there for the anniversary game. -

It was mentioned on comms that it was his 5th yellow and he would miss Saturday now. -

Yet only 2 started for Derby despite them supposedly being a team full of ex rovers -

Derby 4 wins in 4 and us 3 in 3 definitely makes for an interesting game. Their 4 wins seem to have come when Trav got injured. -

Three at the back has been good for us but not sure how we play it for Derby without 3 fit CBs 😞 Hopefully Wharton will be ok but I’m guessing he’ll be missing. Toth is the biggest worry, Pears could be very very shaky and not even sure his head will be in it after we tried to get rid of him over the summer. -
Rovers's January transfer needs
Ricky replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
So I doubt we’ll be signing the three that you would like to see come in unless someone goes out on loan potentially but I don’t think any of the squad will. We also didn’t include Garrett in the 25 (is he over 21 now?). Centre half will be a loan recall which makes sense to me. He’s been getting good reviews in the league below and is hopefully ready to finally make the step up. -

I know Chaddy will probably have the answer but how many can we actually sign and register? How many spaces do we have left? -

I’ve got no issue with O’Riordon coming in as the extra CB. He’s our player so let’s have a look at him. Do think we need right back cover, silly to let Duru go as he would have been a good option. If we want to play 2 up top we need another forward so I’d like us to bring some quality in there ideally. -

Big shout dropping Tronstad. But it’s hard to argue with it on current form. I’d still start with him and bring Montgomery on if it doesn’t start well. -
Change the rose to a dying rose and you may have a chance of it being different enough to avoid copyright infringements

Ricky replied to Elrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
It is when you’re usually on here 95% of your non working time. If we’d been winning loads of games and the new signings performing then I’m sure you would have been here with a few ‘I told you so’s’ 😄 -
I’ve mentioned before that I live in Hereford and sometimes attend their games. I do it to catch up with friends and have a beer. If a goal goes in I’ll applaud it and if it’s a screamer out of nowhere I might even break a cheer. I certainly don’t get the same buzz as I do watching rovers. I usually manage 4 or 5 games a season and this season will be no different. I’ll be at Preston in November and will also hopefully be at the 150th match. It certainly seems much harder to get excited for a rovers game at the moment though.

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
Ricky replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Just on the matter of VI not being rated by Barnsley fans. I think it was mentioned that they credit his predecessor for putting everything in place for the play off season (I think he’s the Bristol City Manager). That’s what I seem to recall but I don’t know for sure. -
He’s been a very good signing and fits the bill of a modern full back. Very athletic with the pace to beat his man and deliver a ball into the box. Only ray of sunshine from the summer signings

100% going down. -
I could see Hull having a dodgy spell and dropping in the mix as well. 2 places between us Hull, Derby and Oxford. I’m not sure we’ve got enough to get out of it based on the first 9 games

This is a must win game which we won’t win -
Take it you’re still not worried about the lack of goals Chaddy, you told us all what a good transfer window we’d had and that Ohashi would easily score 15+ goals.

Kargbo looked like he was about to cry when he came off the pitch at the end. Also zero celebration when he scored. I know he took some stick for his howler in the week but it seemed a strange reaction. -

Nobody is ‘mixing up’ what you said. You used the words that it was our most ‘expensive’ window in years… it wasn’t. We bought in more than we spent which makes it the fucking opposite of expensive!! If I go for a night out and win £100 on a fruit machine in the first pub I go to and then spend £70, I’ve not had an ‘expensive’ night have I. -

Just seen the replay and it was an offside after the shot. I was only half watching and thought one of their players had been offside in the build up so ignore me. -

No idea why the commentators keep referring to the Sorba Thomas chance in 10 seconds. Offside was given wasn’t it? I’m sure there was no corner following the save. If they are going to talk about that then they should talk about Gudjonnsen scoring from the offside cross. -
