  1. If you’re on gardening leave you’re still technically employed.
  2. That’s mental. Surely if that was known by the management team he just gets thrown on in injury time in a game. I’m sure nobody our end even knew it was the case or considered we’d need the space now.
  3. I’m surprised we haven’t looked at Diangana on a free. Championship experience but then again maybe he wants a championship level salary so we’ve got no chance.
  4. Axel had one training session before being thrown into the starting line up. I’m not reading too much into his debut. I’m one of the few who thought Alibeouso (sp?) did ok. Beat his man and delivered a couple of decent crosses. One early in the first half went right across the box with nobody there to take advantage of it. Travis is going to go and I think that’s pretty obvious now. He will be a big loss in the centre of the park. Not sure he’s going to be easy to replace. I do wonder if Axel may be his replacement in there.
  5. I was with a non rovers supporting friend yesterday. I said when Kargbo came on, this will be fun as he’s lightning but can’t cross for toffee!! After about 10 minutes he said that I had pretty much summed him up in one sentence. I would like to see Kargbo on from the start. Players a petrified of his pace. The fact he won three of the four yellows from WBA players yesterday is clearly something that we need to be focusing on. Im worried about us playing Birmingham city at the weekend. They could rip us to shreds if we play anything like that. Have to hope for a way better performance from us.
  6. Just got home, it was shite. Not much more to say. Toth improved but looked very dodgy early doors. Kargbo drew three yellow cards with fouls against him, can’t cross for toffee but a real threat. Best part of the day was probably the Vine pre match for their chicken tikka.
  7. Does anyone have Ainsley Pears phone number? Asking for a (few hundred) friends.
  8. I’d argue they could be the difference of keeping us in this league more than promotion. On the loan front, if Harvey Elliot moves this summer would he be the most expensive transfer to have ever played for us (based on transfer fee alone).
  9. Surprised he’s not interested in loans Chaddy. I have no reason to doubt what you say on that but it seems a strange decision as im sure other championship teams will be strengthened by some quality loan signings. We’ve historically (less so recently) done pretty well in that market.
  10. Interesting people saying Myoshi has no sell on value at 28. I disagree. Birmingham have paid €9m for Kyogi who is 30. I’m sure he could still recoup a profit in 2 years if he performs here.
  11. I don’t think Miyoshi will be £2m. Joined for £400k and didn’t play much during another relegation season. I would imagine he has a similar release clause to the one he had at Birmingham. Maybe £800k - £1m with some add ons.
  12. Tickets and train both booked today. Vine pre match is a bit of a ritual so I’m sure that’ll be where I head to.
  13. Couple of friends are Birmingham fans and have said they’d be gutted if he came to us.
  14. Miller is the one that I think the fans will take to. Seems a proper character and hard as nails. Can see him picking up a few cards too.
  15. Miller may be the first player in history to refer to the ‘chief exec’ as Bro! 😄
  16. McGinn did ok when he signed for Villa (and not us unfortunately). There’s been quite a few decent players from the Scottish leagues so I’m happy to see what he’s like. Happy we actually bought someone in tbf.
  17. I’m banking on Chaddy being in the 12% club 😄
  18. See Hull have picked up John Lundstrum on loan. Another good signing for a club with a transfer embargo. Probably done better business than us this summer.
  19. Awful that. I reckon I could have defended that better
  20. So you’ve gone from ‘Well he was training with rovers today’ to ‘I don’t know’… that’s some turn around after posting something as fact to actually admitting you don’t have a clue. Unusually (as I usually argue with him) I’ve got to back Mercer up a bit. He didn’t say Brittain was off to Derby, he said on Monday that derby were leading the way, quite a different statement. You’ve had a bit of a shocker all round Chaddy lad.
  21. Hopefully he’ll be as good as our last Aussie full back 🙂
  22. Their Keeper won’t be playing. They’ve accepted £10m from Sunderland for him today.
  23. So if Brittain goes you’ll be happy to come back here and say you were wrong then Chaddy? You’ll have no issue admitting that you judged that one completely wrong. I’ll be the first to say I was wrong if the tables are turned and he’s here at the end of the window. I just can’t see it happening.
  24. Would Mullarkey-Matthew be the most expensive name we’ve ever had on a shirt (based on per letter pricing)
