  1. Whoever it is should be getting the £750k Eustace compensation as a promotion bonus. All they are being asked to do is keep us in the position we are currently in and then the play offs are a bit of a lottery. It should be really attractive to someone. i know it’s been done to death but we don’t want anyone coming in and trying to change too much (Amorin are you listening). Just motivate the boys and welcome back the injured players.
  2. O’Neils management career has all been in the top flight. Arguably a better CV than the other names mentioned. He’s not my first choice but I think I’d be ok with him. Seems a decent guy who could come in and hopefully push us to the playoffs. Ideally we get the new manager boost with whoever comes in.
  3. lol, a couple…. They sold 17 players over the summer. It’s hardly a couple is it
  4. I’m not sure many would have picked Eustace at the time we appointed him. It could be a completely left field shout, hopefully in place pretty soon. I was impressed with Gary O’Neil at Bournemouth. They sold about £150m of players under him at Wolves so no shock he struggled a bit there. Wouldn’t be against him at all. I’ve already mentioned that Cooper would be the one for me but think the issue there sounds like it would be the payoff to Leicester.
  5. We ended last season with away games at Leeds and Leicester and won them both.
  6. Weirdly this game concerns me more than WBA did. These lot are a completely different outfit to the Plymouth under Rooney (who already beat us once this season). They’ve not been good away from home but we’ve seen before that we’re pretty good at ending other teams losing runs.
  7. We need a manager who plays a similar way. Someone who can knit the players together and continue with the unity that we’ve seen in the Squad. For me the best for that would be Cooper or Edwards. I would imagine either would fancy it with us in the top 5. It’s a free hit for a manager. Get us promoted and they are a hero, fail and the majority of the fans will rightly blame the shit show behind the scenes.
  8. Echo that Rev. I do think they’ll go down as well.
  9. That statement is much more professional than the last one. The significant investment nonsense has gone and been replaced by the truth. We did strengthen (slightly) in January. Someone took the keyboard off Swaggot by the looks of things.
  10. Definitely a sense of Miff’s getting his excuses in as well though. The old ‘we lost because they were exceptionally good’ rather than it being assisted by his tactics. His trusty option of chucking on as many forwards as possible with no real sense of where they were going to play. We were exceptionally good though.
  11. David Lowes interview on the rovers site refers to the players giving it a ‘right good go!’ We’ve heard that before lol
  12. Lot of praise for Dion as well. Tough to come into a game like that and have to get quickly up to speed. Looked solid and didn’t put a foot wrong. Good to see Buckley growing into games over this run. Gone from liability to a key player, still makes the odd stray / dangerous pass but is looking much sharper. Weekend won’t be easy at all though. Worry that we underestimate Plymouth. They beat us at their place and are probably better now. New manager has transformed them,
  13. I’m putting it out there now that I’m not convinced he’ll keep them up. Plymouth have hit form and are now only one point behind them. Luton now rock bottom put only two points off Derby with a better squad. Someone else will probably get sucked into the fight like we did (after being 6 points clear of it when he took over).
  14. Only disappointing performance was ACD who looked lost when he came on. He’s not got a defensive mind at all so it was a poor choice to bring him on when we knew we would be under the cosh. Apart from that I’d say it was a perfect away performance.
  15. You know it must be bad when even Chaddy is showing anger towards the owners. That’s no disrespect to Chaddy at all but he does typically see the best in the club so if he’s angry you know it’s bad!!
  16. Could have done without the 94th minute Cov winner tonight. A draw there would have been ideal
  17. I was going to ask if they’ll claim this has his first win for them if they get a result. 👀
  18. So on the back of that I’m assuming that you now finally admit that the January window was an absolute shit show as you’ve done everything to defend it up to now.
  19. 100% Jim. There’s no part of that statement that would encourage him to stay with us now.
  20. Did they? I must have missed that quality shining through in our 2-0 defeat. Kargbo looked ok, I’ll give you that but Dennis hasn’t played any football in about 8 months. Not what you need from an impact player. Poor window however you want to try to dress it up.
  21. He wanted Quality signings. We didn’t make quality signings.
  22. Toth has been awful today. I mentioned before that we needed an improvement on Pears yet we’ve bought another keeper who is worse than him. It’s fairly obvious why Pears kept his place after Toth was signed.
  23. Kargbo has left his foot in. It’s not a pen but it’s not a yellow in my opinion.
