Toth is way worse than Pears which is saying something. Weird signing that one. We needed a Pears replacement.

Small markets can be heavily impacted with just a couple of bets tbf. It really doesn’t take much to swing it. reckon we could probably get Chaddy into about 5/1 if we all contacted the bookies and asked for odds on him.

He sees the other keeper every day in training, I’m assuming Toth is even worse! He’d be playing him otherwise. I can’t imagine Toth was a Eustace signing at all and I’m guessing he’s looked pretty average so far.

We’ll be out of the play off places pretty quickly. That’s another example of why the transfer business needed to be done earlier. It’s another 3 points thrown away as even after the window has closed we’ve not been able to field 2 new signings.

I don’t see how this can be dressed up as anything other than a disappointing window. There’s 5 points between us and 13th. That’s a lot of teams pushing for the playoff places. West Brom seem to have had a good window as do Boro. They could both overtake us in the coming weeks unless our form improves drastically. Are these the types of signing who are going to be able to push us to a playoff place? I’m not convinced.

Dennis might be up to speed by the end of the season. He’s not been playing at all which is a worry

I’m amazed how we look so weak on the bench despite pretty much having a full squad.

What makes him the better option over Shankland? Based on stats alone you’d have to say Shanklands numbers are better. Shankland also younger. I’ve not watched much of either of them so I was looking at it solely on the numbers.

Personally thought Buckley was bang average in his last few games.

Shankland and Dennis would do for me. Guessing it’s one or the other but both would be good.

I think it was probably only really Chaddy who believed that the Forshaw and Sanderson signings were so we could spend some money on the forward line. It was clear that we were going to have another shocking window. Well we were told to judge it at the end of the window, and I don’t see how anyone will be able to judge it as anything less than awful.

I’m ok with Shankland if he can get back to his previous form. Could Eustace be the man to get him back to his best, possibly. He’s an experienced forward and I’m happy to give him a chance. Certainly not writing him off

There’s also the possibility that no league 1 clubs wanted him on loan. We can only loan him if someone wants to take him. It may have been a case that the club put feelers out but Tranmere were the only ones interested so it was a case of there or nowhere. alternatively if may have been the players choice. He’s a scouser after all. He may have family who are Tranmere fans.

I’ve met a lot of the old BRFCS crew on various European adventures, fortunate to still have a lot of friends who have previously been on the forum. Some still post occasionally and some don’t anymore. I’ll be heading up on Friday. Don’t get to as many games now I have a wife and family (and a 7 hour round trip). Bit different to my carefree days of young lol.

Who do you get rid of from our current squad. You’d need to free up 2 or 3 spaces by loaning out players. I wouldn’t be against a loan for Leonard but who else?

I know you’re quite keen on the idea of Thomas-Asante as a striker. I don’t see that signing him will get us a play off place. We need so much more. Do you think he has the quality to get us that play off place or are you thinking him plus a quality striker?
