  1. Why did the scouting not pick up that Leo couldn’t catch a fucking cold! Surely we watched him. Or was it just a case of seeing that someone had bid for him and not wanting to miss out. stinks that we blew any money that we had on him when he looks very very poor. Can’t see him ever being any more than a back up.
  2. Nobody is buying us with over £100m of debt. I’m pretty sure not a single one of those you mentioned was sold with those debt levels so the only option (as you mentioned) is administration and then the hope someone decides to buy us. There’s a couple of teams on there that would clearly be more attractive to an investor, I’m thinking Birmingham and Sunderland mainly, due to the large catchment and fan base. Sunderland could get 40k attending quite easily if they were in the top flight. Our cap is probably 20-25k. That’s going to be something that an investor will look at. Some of the others were bought when they were in the lower leagues at a lower cost. I can only really see a future of administration and then a buy out. It would be great if a rich owner came in but as we’ve seen, we already have one of those and it’s not been the answer. A rich owner can still only invest so much due to ffp. I don’t know the answer but it’s certainly a worrying time.
  3. The club will probably argue that Buckley is the Travis replacement.
  4. Depends how much they want to gamble on going up. Also I guess they are only in year one of the ffp cycle as it’s different rules in league 1. If they wanted to show a sign of intent buying the leagues top scorer wouldn’t be a bad way to do it.
  5. We have a group of lightweight pretty footballers so are they really going to win their battles against seasoned pros who aren’t worried about getting kicked. The Irish Foden, that has to be a joke lol, is not going to go flying into a 50/50 with an experienced championship midfielder. Adam Wharton will be an outstanding football but we can’t keep ignoring the defensive side of his game which isn’t just lacking, it’s non existent. We are very luck to have a bit of a buffer. We’d be screwed otherwise.
  6. If, and we all know it’s a big if, we got the £1.5m and the wages to replace Gallagher I do think there could be better options. Clarke-Harris is one I was keen for us to go for previously and he’s out of contract in the summer so could potentially come in cheap. Otherwise a decent loan striker, not a young kid though. Someone more established but needing games.
  7. Chaddy hoping to get 4 players from a Gallagher sale is just pie in the sky clearly. These players will want paying and he’s already mentioned the 20% cut to the sage bill. If we sold Gallagher the best we could hope for is a loan. I’d take Moore as a loan.
  8. You’re not a rovers fan, I’m pretty sure we’ve established that. Not a problem at all but the constant comments on one player, who’s not been great recently, is becoming boring now.
  9. I feel much more confident that he’ll be a huge success now 👀
  10. Could we talk nicely to Bournemouth and get Kieffer Moore on loan? Sunderland interested at the moment. Should have a relationship after Hills loan here.
  11. I see one time target Clarke-Harris from Peterborough is being linked to Wrexham. Annoyingly they are probably a better proposition than us at the moment.
  12. Chaddy will be fully in support of Garrett going out on loan now.
  13. Andy Moran just seems too lightweight. Technically good but poor portioning for their second goal and doesn’t seem to get anything behind the 50/50 tackles. Opposing players seem to walk straight through him.
  14. Pickering and Leo at fault there. I mentioned on another thread that a nervous keeper will lead to nervous defenders.
  15. I’d be happy with an experienced keeper and a striker. I agree with bringing in LB cover but not sure the lad from Brighton was needed. Horvath would be a very good loan signing and I would agree that Leo going out on loan would be good. I’ve had to bite my lip a lot over the last few pages as there have been some ridiculous posts from our resident happy clapper. However we still have time to rescue this window. Fix the glaring issue up front and in goal and we could still have a decent season, ignore it and we could be in trouble. A nervous keeper leads to a nervous back line. Defenders like a strong presence behind them and we clearly don’t have that.
  16. Why would Hill get involved tomorrow and then not be able to play for Bournemouth in the FA Cup. Seems strange.
  17. Of course chaddy thinks it a great move to loan our captain to a team pushing for promotion.
  18. Rooney got the job over a beer with the owners at the SuperBowl. Was never popular choice with the fan base. They are hoping for Cooper, Carsley or Eustace. I’ve mentioned Jordan Jones on here a lot in the past. Looks like he’s off to Serie A with Atalanta. Wanted us to go for him when he was out of their starting line up. Followed his career as he lived down the road from me and went to the same school as my daughter now attends.
  19. He’s pulled his shirt. It’s a yellow, it’s soft but it’s a yellow.
  20. Jordan James is starting to look like the player I always thought he would be. He’s local to me and went to the same school as my daughter. One I wanted us to look at when he was breaking through. Regular for wales now and will be one to watch tomorrow. Results tonight would mean 3 points takes us above PNE and on the brink of the play off spots.
  21. Afternoon booked off work and hoping to be at Ewood nice and early for a few beers 🙂
  22. I’m looking forward to this one but not looking forward to getting the train back to Preston from Mill Hill after the game. I’m guessing it’s going to be an absolute nightmare tbf!
  23. Whalstadt is a long way off where he needs to be. Shot stopping is generally ok but he can’t catch a cross.
