  1. I can see Abbey's point to a certain degree. Sam hasn't done well in all of this. He's basicaly been in the press saying Benni's for sale and Benni's not performing well enough, and Benni's not fit. Think Sam could have kept some of it in house and then maybe Benni wouldnt have felt the need to do the same thing and get his message out there in the press.
  2. unfortunately more than half of those goals came in just 2 games. I still think we should be playing Benni, he scores goals and we're not scoring enough. Give him a run in a 4-4-2 and lets see what happens.
  3. FHM had a small feature about a girl who is die to be the next big thing in pop. She's in America recording with Mark Ronson at the moment and has had a single produced by Frankmusic. Nothing too unusual except that she used to live opposite me in a small village in Herefordshire. Look out for the name Ellie Goulding.
  4. To be fair I'm amazed Noel has stuck with him for this long. Never been a Liam fan really, prefer the songs that Noel sings as well. Cast no shadow and masterplan to name two.
  5. I'm with you on this one Rev. Don't like him but feel that under the right terms he could be a shrewd signing. He's the right age and has ability, there's no doubt about that. The only doubts for me are over his temperament.
  6. In the same match Alan Smith had a much much worse lunge but failed to make contact, this obviously hasn't been mentioned at all!!!! I don't like Barton one bit but I can imagine us going for him, just think he's the type of player we'd look at. He'll be cheap or free and with something to prove. It could be the shrewdest signing ever or could be a disaster.
  7. its nowt to do with biometrics..... its food...... too much of it.
  8. I've had no joy at all with Cheltenham this year... absolutely shocking bets!! Just to finish it off I've backed a horse who's won me quite a bit in the past but is not a favourite for the Gold Cup. My moneys gone on Exotic Dancer.
  9. Managed to manipulate a little error in Play.coms system this week. Added Far Cry 2 for the PS3 to my shopping cart and then added teh xbox 360 version, it knocked £10 off the PS3 price. This meant I got the Xbox version for £17.99 and the PS3 version for £7.99. Just have to see if the games any good now. Going to trade in the Xbox version as the good lady wants Buzz for us to play over Xmas.
  10. Got the Mrs to buy me Bioshock for my Christmas pressie
  11. I'm more concerned that he states he was interested in the Burnley job!!!!!!
  12. We might get a decent team together for next years Masters then Tris.
  13. This is a serious question and not a dig. It appears that Parsonblue has obviously watched these players come through the ranks in order to make his opionions on them. Rover6, you feel that Andy Taylor will make it and will overtake Jay in a couple of years. I'm wondering what this opinion is based on??? Have you seen the two of them much at reserve and youth level with Rovers??
  14. Missed that one when I was last in Manchester. We were going to go for a curry one night but didn't end up doing it. Did go to the Armenian Tavern with Tris which was good. I know he's recommended it on here before and I'd certainly go there again.
  15. Thought he was a genuinely nice guy when I met him a couple of seasons ago. Thought he handles the transfer badly and personally I think we'd be better off looking at younger targets now, shame as I like him as a player but think he's burnt his bridges with us.
  16. Nice link to the top 10 transfers at the top of that page, Our very own Roque comes in at number 2 behind Torres. Certainly can't argue with that.
  17. Just keeping my eye on Aintree and had to back Christie Beamish, purely for the surname lol. Just won my 45 quid, happy days. Beeeaaaaammmmmooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Moved all the Axe talk from the Vogel thread to here. Makes more sense really.
  19. Rover6, I still stand by my comments that when the Axe WAS given a decent run of games he actually did a good job. He replaced the injured Savage and actually looked like a premiership player after a shaky start.
  20. When he had a fairly long run in the team he started to look a half decent player to be fair. The problem really seems to be when he comes in for the odd game here and there, that's when he looks suspect.
  21. Quite like Biffy Clyro's version of umbrella. Other good covers out there are 30 seconds to mars covering Stronger and the Killers doing Romeo and Juliet.
  22. Its worth a watch Presty. It gets interesting when it gets past Carlton Leach's early hooligan days and gets into the Essex Boys scene. I'd recommend reading Bernard O'Mahoneys Essex Boys book as its the same story.
  23. You know me too well Paul. Well, I had a word with a couple of people who said the Glasshouse on Friar street is very good. Basically Friar street in Worcester is where the majority of the better places to eat are located. Have a wander down there and I'm sure you'll find somewhere. The Glasshouse have an early deal which is 2 courses and a glass of wine for £15 per person which seems reasonable. Still stand by the Chinese recommendation if you are into that sort of thing. One of the best Chinese's I've been to that's for sure.
  24. Paul, If you are into your Chinese Food there is an excellent restaurent in the middle of town called the Angel Chef. It's one of the buffet types where you help yourself, tere is a huge huge selection of starters mains and sweets. I'll quickly ask in the office about fish places as I have a couple of mates who live over there, been spending quite a bit of time over there myself recently
  25. Jim, He's also very quick to criticise his team mates. I play up top with a guy who's like that in our sunday league team. He's the best player on this pitch (24 goals in 6 games) but he's horrible to play alongside. We can have players unmarked clean through and he'll still try to take on 5 players and score himself, very annoying. He also has a go at team mates if they dont pass to him all the time, very similar to the sort of strops I've seen from Benni, He did it to Gamst a few times on Sunday, Gamst is obviously very very low on confidence at the moment and I'm guessing Benni having a go at him wont help.
