Opposing fans are always welcome and it’s good to get a view from someone who’s actually seen him play. The fee worries me as I can’t see why he’s not getting on your bench if he’s worth £12m+. I can’t see us paying that for him. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a fair bit less but with a big weighting on add ons and sell on.

Spoke to him at player of the year awards straight after he’d won it and said it was the best club he’d been at and how he couldn’t wait to get started in training again. He came across as a complete arse and basically made it clear in a one to one conversation that he was off as soon as a bigger club came in for him. Always tainted my opinion of him. Steven Reid on the other hand came across as really humble and an absolute gent.

I know talk his cheap but his interview comments are good. He talks about our team spirit and that he wants to be part of that. Let’s give him the season and hopefully it works out well for all concerned. If it doesn’t it shouldn’t have cost us a fortune and if it does we’ll have a good player on our hands for the season and maybe beyond.

I actually think the Rodwell signing is the type of signing we should be looking at. Still young so different to the Murphy signing but a good pedigree but seems to have lost his way. If he wants to succeed and have a good career it’s his last chance really.

Did you or did you not say we wouldn’t sign anyone over 30 and did you not have a go at people who suggested players of that age. Don’t plat the victim card again Chaddy. You’re the biggest culprit on here.

It’s what we did with Mulgrew. He had played CB but saw himself as more of a CM when he came here.

But if he’s shown in training what he’s shown on the pitch you also have to ask why Mowbray hasn’t started him until we have three midfield injuries (Davenport, Palmer, Dack)

No idea why we didn’t put the ball in the box in the last minute. Instead we play it backwards and nearly get in trouble. Too many draws, 3 out of 4 but still unbeaten.

I’m torn on this as I’m delighted that it appears we have money to improve the team. I’m a little concerned that we are looking like spending a huge amount for us on a 19 year old who’s been a good championship player but has hardly set the world alight. disagree with Paul Mani and Chaddy (Shock), if he’s coming for £8m he’s going to expect a wage in line with what other £8m players are earning. He’s not going to come on £12k as he’s a young player as suggested by Paul, he’s going to be coming on a high wage. Looking at the market I’m sure the £8m could be better spent on a more ‘finished’ article in the championship. A little nervy but I’d love to be proved wrong by the lad coming in and smashing 20 goals this season.

He’ll be on more than that at Forest I would guess Chaddy. No idea how much but I think after he burst onto the scene he would have been given a decent contract. If we’re paying an £8m fee his wages will be expected to be at least double what you’ve suggested in my opinion. Maybe that’s why we might move on.

My two penneth worth, I think (from my limited knowledge) that he’s a good prospect and at 19 years old he has time to develop. If we are paying in excess of £5m though i would expect someone a bit more proven, Grabban and Bamford have gone for similar figures and are more established players.
