The bonus is clever by the owners with the out of contract player situation. The three of them will want the financial reward so will still need to give their all throughout the season. If we go up then they may get a better offer from the club to stay. It’ll cost a lot to replace the three of them so we really do need to weigh that into the equation when making the offers.

Agree with a lot of what you said but I’m calling BS on this one. Typically the teams promoted will have 2 or 3 above 10 goals. Norwich won the league last year with 2 players above 10 and Brentford had 1 player above 10 goals. for completion Watford had 1 player above 10 and he only scored 13. They went up second. Sharing goals around is more important than having all the eggs in one basket.

I think there’s a real closeness in the squad. Dack and BBD bromance has been good to see and I can’t help but think Ben will be keen to see it through and get promotion with us. I may be wrong but I’m hoping that’s the case.

Just looking at the list of free transfers. I’m not sure if he’s fit as he’s had issues before and I know his background down the road will count against him for some but Robbie Brady could be worth a look if TM wants to add to his collection of midfielders. Why mention that we would have broken the pay structure for Arma? Surely that’s the quickest way to alienate the players we are talking to about extensions. “Yeah, we’d love you to stay but you’re not as good as Arma so we won’t pay you any more”. Just seems no point in mentioning the Arma discussions now he’s gone.

I’m pretty sure their demands will be dropping daily as the deadline looms. Once the deadline passes they can’t be registered until January so would miss out on a few months wages. Reckon they may be a bit keener to drop their demands at that stage.
