  1. He certainly isn’t in a weaker position as of today.
  2. 24th March they went on sale last year. We must have a really solid cash flow at the moment, so obviously no rush. I mean, otherwise we’d have to sell our top players for peanu…oh
  3. You see this is the problem Rev. I’ve stepped back from the ‘but who’s the actual problem?’ question to you, because I know it annoys you, I’m not a troll, you know. But even now (!) you are trying to paint the disgrace of what went on - you know, the owners not putting money into their business because they are under investigation for financial impropriety- ergo the crown jewel being flogged for peanuts just to keep the leccy on, and that is *still* because they are being badly advised.
  4. Totally different and you know it. If posters think admin is worthwhile to rid us of these club wreckers then that’s one argument (don’t agree personally, but I see the ‘short term pain’ angle they are going for). But wanting relegation just so ‘roverboy95’ can get one over on ‘Blueboy96’ on this obscure message board? Err no.
  5. It wouldn’t work, as in, on the pitch, but the fact a bloke that has been long been seen as the wise old owl of BRFCS thinks it’s a marvellous idea tells you it would appease plenty out there.
  6. No you didn’t say it would soon blow over when it all came out in July? I think you did! Listen not knocking you, if that’s what your source says, that’s what they say - but let’s take the latest sunlit uplands stuff with a bucket of salt.
  7. Didn’t you say all this kind of stuff last summer when all the shit started hitting the fan in July? ‘It’s only temporary’, ‘things will soon improve’ etc etc.
  8. So you and blue n white Rover have the same source, fair enough. Obviously in the Swag camp, but I’m not sure how JDT was throwing ‘the club’ under the bus? For having standards and actual ambition for it? For expecting promises to be kept? In reality ‘the club’ is Swag/Suhail/Owners and they bloody well deserve to be chucked under the proverbial double decker (or coach).
  9. Those crafty feckers JDT and GB causing all this unrest, good job we have the constants of Suhail and Swag continually doing the right thing by BRFC.
  10. Going three at the back for a load of games is a ‘plan b’ now. I thought that was just JE trying to grind his way to survival (which was fair enough BTW) not a sign of a tactical guru, but there you go.
  11. All a bit romantic Parson, this club is in a hole, decent former players but zero coaching or ‘upstairs’ experience at any level isn’t exactly who I’d be looking at.
  12. And Rudy has what first team DofF experience himself?
  13. Swag back in the driving seat. Always makes me laugh when folk call him ‘stupid’, ‘an imbecile’ - when it comes to the Machiavellian world of football he’s one canny fucker.
  14. Think you’re bob on, Mark. At this level discounts coupled with a bit of positivity around the club is the sweet spot for a big spike in sales. So last summer gave us a chance. I think this summer for all manner of reasons (when they actually finally bother putting them on sale) it’s fecked regardless.
  15. Exactly, he got most of his England caps post Fergie. Injuries were the issue pure and simple. Indeed as top level player you should be able to play in different positions anyway.
  16. What’s Eustsce’s ‘plan b’ then?
  17. Tremendous timing for the brains trust running this club to put them on sale after a week Sky have bombarded anyone with even a passing interest in an EFL club to just his many times their side will be on the tele… It obviously won’t bother those clubs that have had them on sale for up to three months and their fans all nicely renewed. Bravo once again 👏
  18. Yes he seems to have aged quite quickly in the last year or so.
  19. Folk would rather see their club in the third division just so they could get one over some anonymous accounts on an obscure messsge board?
  20. I’m not particularly arsed about social media, if some 20 year old comms grad on ‘the socials’ think they are hilarious then crack on, it’s the modern world - I’m talking about how the club operates, it’s commercial operation, events etc.
  21. The club is so small time these days it’s painful, it acts like a lower league club already so at least there’s some forward planning there for once.
  22. £18 million was a terrible price, the fact that lad at Bristol City went for £25million tells you that. Not that it matters I suppose as we will be spending 0 of 18, instead of 0 of 25, but it still rankles that a ‘generational talent’ was bundled out the door to merely pay the bills, not to rebuild a team desperate for it.
  23. Opening paragraph of today’s Times article on him: ‘When was the last time that a player made the step up from Championship to Premier League with quite the same poise as Adam Wharton? England’s second tier has been fertile ground for a plethora of top-flight stars in recent years, of course, but it is hard to recall anyone who has taken to life among the elite as swiftly as the 20-year-old Crystal Palace midfielder. His £18 million transfer fee from Blackburn Rovers, which could potentially rise to £22 million, already looks like an absolute snip.’ But yeah we couldn’t possibly have hoped for any more dosh for a Championship player according to some of the sages on here
  24. Yep easy twenty quid from fans with Dingle away FOMO. Feck anything that takes some effort and admin.
