  1. So why does it cost a tenner to admin a ST but zero a match ticket?
  2. Wait, he wouldn’t have made the England squad on the back of a season with Sam Gallagher et al? Who knew! It was only seen as a remotely reasonsble fee because he was bundled out the door to the first bidder after only 18 months of first team experience due to a fire sale. Of course we were never going to get more in that scenario - doesn’t mean Palace didn’t get the bargain of the century.
  3. Enjoys a session or three (not just one at the crease) according to my cousin who’s joined him on a few.
  4. ‘Guaranteed’… aye ok 😀
  5. Forget about those in England, the island of Ireland or in the USA, Australia with family ties etc. But those hordes of folk across Scottish towns who fill coach after coach to Glasgow on a Saturday morning or their local pubs to watch OF games instead of supporting St Mirren or Raith Rovers etc aren’t glory hunters?
  6. Divide and conquer, been reading his Machiavelli, obviously.
  7. A paused real estate project he can get back to.
  8. If it doesn’t make a difference why do 95% of clubs get them on sale between February and April? Yes, cash flow (obviously no issues with that here, we’ve got the AW money to pay HMRC with). But it also keeps fans engaged and in the tent when in ‘football mode’, not apologetically putting them on sale for a few weeks in almost June when folk are in holiday mode before bumping up prices. Just marketing 101.
  9. Bolton, Burnley, Sheff Wed, Forest, Stoke just off the top of my head but plenty more. The vast majority of clubs who could change divisions still had them on sale between February and April. But yes even the days after Leicester would at least have been something to grab on to, but no chuck them on sale in late May instead.
  10. Misrepresenting Sammie there, should’ve used a picture of last season’s ’captain’ actually shushing his own fans.
  11. So the Premier Suite which I’ve been in to for a game in each of the last three seasons, and has been excellent, with a four course meal - three pre game, and a post game course… has now been replaced with the ‘95 Club’, a ‘one course hot buffet’ (oh and a dessert at half time)… so pretty much what Jack’s Kitchen was (JK now being ‘a pie and a pint’. Oh it looks as if the Red Rose Suite in the Blackburn End is now the new Premier Suite offering… but obviously you don’t get the Jack Walker Upper central seating, just behind glass behind the goal.
  12. Obviously Rev has cherry picked, but there is some truth, Leo for one, I mean, christ. But yes, AW was a fire sale with the Suhail/Swag axis ensuring our generational talent was flogged to the first bidder so the club could now meet their disgraceful bosses liabilities instead of Pune.
  13. Oh for those heady days when we could compete with Hull!
  14. Kind of get his point on Grealish, does look like a lot of the fun and spontaneity has gone out of his game… but Foden? Pep has managed his career superbly.
  15. Thing is Merce you’ve been saying this stuff for about ten years. And there is without doubt very plausible, rational reasons that you should be right… but none of this has been rational or plausible since day dot - so it’s why they very much will be in situ at the end of the calendar year… oh and the next one.
  16. ‘We couldn’t possibly have asked for any more’… x2
  17. Play off final for a place in the PL? Our first trip to the new Wembley? We’d sell 30k absolutely no problem.
  18. To be fair it’s not a surprise that a club like Oxford will take 30k to a Wembley game. You see it all the time for the Papa John’s etc. Whole extended families go down etc., half of whom have never been to a game in their life.
  19. Masher stating the bleeding obvious. Yes, they are still in L1, we aren’t (yet), but we can still wish Ewood was a far more vibrant place with thousands more ST holders, especially younger ones.
  20. Can’t say I particularly rated the bloke, but I don’t think it’s ’nonsense’ to wish the club operated with at least some kind of professionalism.
  21. Doesn’t matter if the bloke was a prick, public statements need some degree of professionalism. I’d call it amateur, but non league clubs operate with more gravitas.
  22. Yep, been posting very oddly and out of character has Parson recently. The bloke deserves some professional courtesy if nothing else - but of course you’d need some courteous professionals running the gaff to offer that.
