Fair enough, it’s their free time and I imagine a lot of it goes into it too. But the core offer of that day is the ticket reduction. So what’s the ‘similar alternative’ to tenner a ticket you have planned? @Miller11?

Of course it’s relevant because if what Roger says is untrue we’ll have money to spend. Nothing Roger says on here is provable one way or another in June and we’ll only know by the 1st September. I’m not being defeatist, that’s the club, I say let’s go for it! It would work nicely for a lot of fans, alas the club won’t go for it, not a lot else to be said on it really. However, what they can do just like success stories at other clubs is make it say £250 and load of the types of folk you mention would just buy one anyway as it wouldn’t matter half as much if they had to miss a few at that price - which is what you hear time and again from Bolton and PNE fans.

Week to go before an eighty quid hike (and no pay day for most folk either in that time).

But nobody else has and there must be a reason for that. Just give it up M*B, it ain’t happening. It was in WATRs ‘prospectus’ as an idea, because it is obviously a good one from a fan’s perspective - so why didn’t the club take them up on it considering they did introduce other ideas from WATR this summer?

It’s not my argument, it’s not tomphil’s either, it’s the club’s, so take it up with them. Send it in to the club as an idea and see what response you get, actually thinking about it I’m sure it has been raised in the FF (perhaps by WATR too, Miller can correct me if I’m wrong on that) - and the club isn’t interested for the reasons you keep getting told. I’m not pooh-poohing it, it’s a great idea, money in my pocket and Tuesday nights with no more rushing about and my Sky subscription getting some value - but in a nutshell that’s exactly why it won’t happen, end of.

The club will not, under any circumstances, offer a season ticket that lets you pick and choose games - as the matches most folk wouldn’t choose (I.e night games) would see Ewood a ghost town - as much as I, Hasta and plenty more besides would personally benefit. It’s a non starter.

There’s just a real grubbiness about the whole club - and I don’t only mean the filthy stadium.
