  1. Yeah but they’ve got some American sport ‘stars’ nobody’s ever heard of parading about in Dingle shirts (pre them taking their slice of the PL profit out) so who cares about results.
  2. Indeed, if you don’t enjoy a thumping win away from home you might as well give it up as a bad job.
  3. In what way are they too cheap if only 800-1000 or so are attending at those prices? A fair market value, no?
  4. And that’s fair enough, you have to take any win (and defeat) with a pinch of salt. They looked like they’d given up second half, certainly weren’t busting a gut for their manager and are obviously a poor side who could well go down. On the flip side it’s why I wasn’t particularly upset with the Leicester game. A thrashing on the surface but we gave a far better set of players a good game for long periods. All about context.
  5. Telalovic aside who unfortunately looks way off at this stage (and is a symptom of the late window striker desperation after the budget cut), all the signings look like they have something to me. So kudos to GB, who’s done well throughout his time here considering the budgets he’s had to work with and the shambolic organisation he’s had to operate in. It’s more about is there enough bodies in that squad, especially up front to get through a 50+ game season if we want to be in the running for the top 6? I’d say no, and that’s on these owners.
  6. Only Jim, isn’t it? You’ve been around brfcs long enough to know that’s just the way he rolls on here, revels in his Mr Curmudgeon role … he’ll have loved it really. 😅
  7. Not sure it even has been all season, we seemed solid enough until going gung-ho at Plymouth. The introduction of Hill seems to have added a bit of solidity, so let’s see how we go post the break.
  8. Only had a few light ales!
  9. Considering it contains a sprinkling of pro clubs and Bundesliga reserve sides I don’t really think it compares to AFC Darwen, but I’ll take your word for it, SG.
  10. You watch the German fourth division a lot then I take it and it’s ‘basically’ 9th tier (NW Counties) English football standard?
  11. It obviously isn’t close to the Championship but the German fourth division isn’t ’basically’ the North West Counties League.
  12. ‘Take him to task’. The brass neck. 😅 The only people you thought you were ‘taking to task’ was us plebs on here when you would regale us with all the marvellous ‘positive changes’ he was going to bring in and how us know nowts ‘didn’t have a clue’. He made a right fool of you.
  13. Yes 1100 sounds about right.
  14. It will be the top tier, which holds 1,850, hell of a following if we’ve sold that, we have a sizeable support in the south east that always turn out for these games. But that’s presuming we were allocated all of it? Regardless there will be a good following there, which there always is for weekend games pretty much anywhere there days.
  15. Ah the PL, that well known forensic organisation
  16. On here maybe, but match going fans much more patient with JDT? No chance. He’s had far more grumbles at Ewood already than TM had in five years. Never known a manager get such an easy ride from fans like what Teflon Tony had, well, apart from maybe King Kenny… and he might just have earned such treatment a little more than Tony bloody Mowbray.
  17. Sure I’ll be hearing plenty of that around me at the next home game. For the birds if you think Swag or the owners will be getting grief at Ewood before JDT.
  18. Exactly, most fans have little idea of what goes on with ‘boards’ and owners, ergo poor results = manager’s fault, especially as JDT has never been as popular at Ewood as Saint Tony of Teflon.
  19. Whose fault is this mess? Waggott’s ✔️ Mowbray’s✔️ Broughton ✔️ Wonder who else could have played an ever bigger part?
  20. Shame ‘the club’ doesn’t feel the same.
  21. ‘Just clicking’ is also more likely when you are still picking up some results, when losing every week confidence quickly drains away, ergo so does the ‘good football’.
  22. Yet there is always another poor naive sod who will spout such things. We had it in the Lambert era, we have it now. But it always ends up just like this, any hope snuffed out and a team heading in this direction.
  23. ‘The project is to be an established and sustainable Premier League football club’.
  24. Take it this court case is going to take place any day now, so everything can be nicely ironed out and that warchest will be unlocked for January?
