  1. Cracking 🎣 attempt there, alas no bites 😀
  2. No visit from the ‘umble brothers tonight then, I take it?
  3. ‘We know it’s tough, we know about the parachutes and all that, but we want to win games and get this club back to where it belongs, let’s see how we go, we can’t wait to get going’. Just standard stuff for execs at football clubs in the run up to KO. Here; ‘well no pressure to win, just player development, so all about staying out of League 1 really… anyway you seen the new bus we’ve, err, “bought” ‘.
  4. Also, many Blackburners have moved out of the town over the past 20/30 years. Of course, working within Blackburn itself and especially trying to pique the interest of an Asian community that have historically not been at Ewood in big numbers is important, vitally so. But the club seems to be oblivious to where big numbers of the fanbase actually reside, yet their own ticketing database should tell them that. The whole operation needs a total shakeup, laziness and complacency over a decade plus has seen switched on commercial operations at PNE, Bolton, Burnley and even Stanley eating our lunch.
  5. I’m talking about ‘Coyley’. The only one sacked in eight years. 2011 to 2013 was obviously a revolving door. However, post Bowyer they’ve pretty much just left whoever has a contract to manage the first team to it. As always, they take a very different path to every other owner in football.
  6. That ST stat is no surprise, take Darwen out of it and I’d wager that residents of Blackburn itself now probably make up a lower percentage of our ST holder base than they ever have before. Yet, the club’s outreach is still massively focussed on Blackburn, worrying that once again it’s only fans groups that actually seem to recognise some of the pretty obvious issues we have with the fanbase.
  7. If TM’s agent had happened to have wrangled an extra two years on his deal he’d still be here now. This is the only club that just doesn’t sack managers. Just once (and that was that total clown with the head tennis and doughnuts training sessions) in eight years.
  8. It’s all transactional to Swag. Very simple equation, he knows he will hit his financial target with 8/9k buying at £400/£500, he can’t be certain that he can still hit it by selling more under £300. So why take a risk? More bums on seats? Better atmosphere? Why does he care about that? Sounds like too much hard work, think of the extra stewards and cleaners!
  9. ‘Resigned to losing him’. Ah well, what you gonna’ do. 🤷‍♂️ Pathetic from a CEO.
  10. Surely he’s Dack mk2 and he walks out for nowt in June.
  11. So third January in a row then that this dysfunctional operation will torpedo any chance of top 6. With yet another record PL TV deal signed (which, of course, exponentially started rising in value as soon as we were relegated). We will certainly look back at these last three seasons as the biggest of all the big missed opportunities we’ve had in this sorry decade.
  12. Notoriously fickle lot on their forum but they aren’t happy about it on the whole… https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/mogga-gone.1621061/
  13. ‘I can’t wait to watch every single one of these extra games as it’s the best league in the world and the Sky coverage is absolutely brilliant and I have a Micah Richards poster up in my bedroom’
  14. ‘Hindsight is a wonderful thing’, maybe try understanding your fanbase and you wouldn’t need it…
  15. Unfortunately even good managers will find it very difficult with these kind of financial constraints.
  16. It’s December and they’ve won one game, they’ve just lost 5-0 to their relegation rivals and are rooted to the bottom of the table, what’s surprising about it?
  17. Yep the precedent has been set for the Blackburn End. But why they can’t just put the Cambridge fans in the JWL and shut the Darwen End instead is beyond me (and it is something they’ve done before, was it Barnet in the cup in the L1 season?).
  18. Obviously won’t be a main BBC or ITV pick, but they do move the KO of a load of random games for overseas TV in the third round.
  19. Yeah the ‘town team’ is who you played for as a kid if you were reight good…
  20. Just outside the play offs and they want their manager potted? Typical entitled Plasti…oh https://www.pne-online.net/forum/index.php?threads/ryans-post-match-comments.3439472/
  21. Cracking following that especially considering we had plenty at Stoke last week and £30 a pop.
  22. Give them chance, SG! 😀 It’s three weeks off, it won’t even be on the radar yet for most floating fans, the days leading up to the game sees the vast majority of tickets sold.
  23. If the club is left to the likes of Swag it will continue to wither on the vine, slowly sink into the lower leagues and even more of the support base will drift away. Despite limited resources JDT is showing on the pitch what drive and ambition can do, fans groups are doing the same off it. These owners are obviously going nowhere (why do they stay? What do they get out of it? Fecked if I know after 12 long years). But one thing we do need to happen is this long awaited CEO retirement and an actual proactive replacement to grab this club by its bootstraps and realise that this club can achieve far more than just managed decline.
  24. It can be poorly attended, however if you price it right it can attract a big gate - Wigan game December 23rd 2019 was our biggest home turn out of the season (for a Sky night match too) as tickets were also reduced to a tenner for that, from memory.
