  1. ‘Just clicking’ is also more likely when you are still picking up some results, when losing every week confidence quickly drains away, ergo so does the ‘good football’.
  2. Yet there is always another poor naive sod who will spout such things. We had it in the Lambert era, we have it now. But it always ends up just like this, any hope snuffed out and a team heading in this direction.
  3. ‘The project is to be an established and sustainable Premier League football club’.
  4. Take it this court case is going to take place any day now, so everything can be nicely ironed out and that warchest will be unlocked for January?
  5. Taking him after just one training session JDT at the presser: “"[Niall] Ennis trained for first time with the group today. Normally we wouldn’t bring him but he will travel to Coventry because we are stretched. I think he’s very happy with it, but a little surprised. He did really well before he got injured." Just shows just how thin the squad is. What a dreadful window example #45.
  6. Swag really is the perfect operator for these penny wise, pound foolish owners.
  7. Still trying to get my head round why having 500 fans in the Blackburn End needs as many staff as 5000.
  8. The ‘best’ teams win lots of matches. What they mean is that we looked good/pleasing on the eye going forward (whilst obligingly leaving ourselves wide open for them to pick off on the break).
  9. Dhillion’s Brewery, always plenty of away fans in there.
  10. Pivotal few days prior to the international break, couple of decent results and we’ll be in an ok position to re-group from going into some more winnable games at the end of the month . Alternatively we’ll be looking down the barrel at a season at the wrong end as confidence will begin to drain away, fans will turn and all this ‘best side we’ve seen all season’ will soon stop being heard.
  11. It’s because most fans only have a vague idea who he is. Case in point when he finally fronted up in the summer banging on about the infamous bus a load of fans were commenting on social media that it was the first they’d ever heard his voice (in six *years*, compare that with John Williams). So of course there’s not going to be some mass revolt against a Venky yes man that spends most of his time lying low.
  12. Playing attractive football going forward but being wide open on the break and shipping 3/4 every week doesn’t make you a ‘good side’. Opposing managers being a bit disingenuous with three points safely in the bag. Though I do think we’ve enough to stay up… so job done Swag, and you can carry on thinking of other schemes to save a few pennies.
  13. All par for the course at a club where there is no pressure on the manager’s position whilst under contract and no pressure to achieve results, ergo they do as they please.
  14. Course not, this is 1864 we are talking about, nothing gets one over on him 💪 (Well, apart from Swag).
  15. Always an odd appointment that one.
  16. Bundles never work here and the club know they never work as they usually say as much in the FF minutes … yet they still keep doing them. 🤷‍♂️ Still, suppose it’s better than closing stands.
  17. 13 years of these owners and this is where we are. Some ‘journey’, ay…
  18. Obviously not but it would sure as hell negate the need to try and save pennies by closing the Blackburn End.
  19. Conflating two issue here. Yes the money they put in is obviously necessary and is sizeable. Nobody ever questions that, well, they question why the feck they continue to do it (though maybe not for much longer). The issue with this lot has always been how they have managed this club for 13 years.
  20. What ‘sense of entitlement’ is there from fans down at Ewood? I rarely hear any. I’d say most parrot the lines of Swag more than any talk of ‘we expect/are entitled to’ etc.
  21. It’s a long season, 50+ games, twice a week. He’d have had ample opportunities in such a small squad. It’s obvious that JDT didn’t want him out without a replacement. It’s now put real pressure on a teenager to run matches game after game after game and potentially burning him out/injuries. Another shambolic window.
  22. The way they have run this club has been a disaster from where they inherited it, on and off the pitch. But yes, the club hasn’t gone bust and they still (just about these days by the sounds of it) pay the bills. So yes, not an absolute, complete disaster, yet. But it’s been a pretty grim decade and it looks as if it’s going to get much grimmer very soon.
  23. Obviously it won’t take place that day, we don’t do Friday nights at Ewood. So maybe a storm, a blizzard, players on strike for not receiving October’s wages.
