  1. Renamed to ‘Burnley’? Is there no end to our hospitality? 😭
  2. Ticket sold figure yesterday was 25,900, home areas sold out and packed (even corporate areas) apart from the very end corner of the JWL (so a long way from 1,500 unfilled) - so the only answer is the capacity is no longer 31,367.
  3. Shit comms that. Why isn’t on an Egg based Coat of arms letter headed paper?
  4. Seems to be a little more to this rumour than some of the others.
  5. On the filpside viewing it from the other stands when it’s actually full it doesn’t look quite as ramshackle. But I imagine it’s closure gets ever closer…
  6. So club happy to confirm then that c1,000 seats somehow didn’t end up on sale in home areas.
  7. … which is a majority of the ground. Yet they never seem to get tarred with the ‘long way back to Surrey’ jibes to the extent Man Utd fans constantly get for their glory hunting hordes.
  8. Seems to be a lot of chat in West Brom social media world re Eustace… https://westbrom.com/forum/index.php?topic=29048.675
  9. I’d say 250 in the JWL corner netted off. Front row of the BEnd Upper (I believe, couldn’t see from the lower) so another 180. Apart from that, couldn’t see anything, even the whole JWU corporate section was full which wasn’t even the case for the Liverpool QF. So where were the other 1,000 empty seats in home areas? As you say the only explanation is the capacity of Ewood Park is no longer 31,367
  10. First ever post in thirteen years. Don’t fret, another Dingle.
  11. ‘I’m not proud, we’re losers’. Great man management to come out with that in media interviews…
  12. Oh they’ll deflect on everything. But Gestede or whoever will have to actually come out with a nonsense justification on the record re lack of spend instead of dangling a carrot in a still open window (and knowing it will all be forgot about by the April meeting or whatever).
  13. Though having it in Feb means there’s no “let’s see where we are when the window shuts” deflection they can use. If it’s shit, it’s shit.
  14. Why is it deluded? They have no impediments stopping them spending and we are a mile away from FFP. They don’t want to spend, not that they can’t.
  15. This is how it will be unless we get new owners (no chance) or they don’t get promoted before the parachutes run out (a chance). Until then we are playing with collective arms tied around our backs so it is what it is and I’ll be shelving any thoughts of getting back on our perch until then.
  16. Odd this ‘advice’ they are receiving considering Ewood is under the jurisdiction of the same police division within the same constabulary as Turf Moor, a ground that has its capacity reduced by, err, 0%…
  17. Plonker that PA fella. ’A massive crowd of 25,900’. Small time announcer for a small time set up.
  18. Tickets sold. Which is why you get ‘12,500’ for a night match in January when there’s no bugger there as half the ST holders haven’t bothered.
  19. The last 14 years tells us there’s always someone worse…
  20. Sell out with over a week to go (in our 31,367 stadium), crowd announced as ‘25,900’. So pretty much FIVE AND HALF THOUSAND below capacity. Ridiculous state of affairs and assurances are needed that it cannot happen again. For the agenda please @only2garners @K-Hod
  21. Need to remember that this place does not reflect the wider fanbase, never has. Mowbray never got a chant against him in five years, he was often pilloried on here. JDT was worshipped at times on the forum, but he was only ever begrudgingly put up with at the ground. Eustace on the other hand has had the fans onside since day one. I like this place, it’s views generally match up with mine, but I don’t for one minute think it in any way resembles Ewood opinion.
  22. Some folk on here don’t seem to understand fandom. Why do crowds wax and wane? Because fans are making decisions on what to do with their time and money on a yearly basis - if they don’t like what they’ll see they’ll withdraw it, was ever thus and they are still fans.
  23. Up the Watson Ramsbottom 🙌
  24. Eustsce wasn’t supported at the ground from day 1? He certainly was.
  25. I’ve heard exactly that and he’s trained.
