  1. £4.50 for any pint of booze isn’t unexpected at ‘events’ these days. But isn’t one of the issues that they have gone up about 70p in one summer? Plus, it is the lack of variety that gives the impression of a club going through the motions and stuck in a late 90s time warp.
  2. Not enough folk used it.
  3. Not many, you imagine. The club has probably only put on 1 coach.
  4. Best bit of the statement: With so many senior players injured or unavailable, the squad has performed heroically and deserves so much credit. What all three of them?
  5. ‘Mauled by the Terriers’ ?
  6. Tomorrow’s game called off. Looks as if things are nosediving fast https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2019/august/statement-on-behalf-of-paul-appleton-joint-administrator-for-bolton-wanderers3/ Two games now called of by the club themselves... surely a further points deduction has to follow?
  7. 8500 season ticket bought and a 1,000 complementaries... so 9,500 ST ‘holders’.
  8. Great story Solihull on tiny crowds.
  9. No issues at Ewood then...
  10. They had a chance to do just that with the ‘1875 Lounge’ last season, yet just had the same stuff on sale as everywhere else, therefore it was quickly dropped as an idea when nobody trapped. It’s relatively simple stuff, yet there’s hardly been a new idea down there since the 90s.
  11. As a season ticket holder, I just find the matchday prices eye watering. £35 if you made a late decision to go to the game yesterday and you fancied the Jack Walker. Looking at it objectively it’s bloody bonkers for mid table second division football in an area like ours.
  12. There is a happy medium to take, surely? Doesn’t have to be a £1 a pint. But they can take a leaf out of other clubs offerings. £4.50 for Fosters or ‘dark fruits’ and nothing else is a sign of a club totally out of touch with modern tastes.
  13. £4.50 for a pint of Fosters in a plastic glass ain’t a rip off? 45p would be pushing it for that swill.
  14. Johnson is some unit. Not someone the opposition will look forward to going toe to toe with. Along with Travis, has to be the best we’ve had in there since relegation.
  15. I wouldn’t say Buckley looks out of his depth. Thought he showed more game nous than plenty of experienced players often do in the closing minutes. Just needs to develop physically.
  16. Waggott knows he will have his 2,000 or so walk ons come rain or shine, £24 or £34. It is the ‘big’ away followings that brings in the cash. Feck the locals.
  17. Add a real ale tent, some decent food etc. Other clubs can do it. From Bristol City to Accy. Going through the motions like we have for years.
  18. Even without the rise it was £30-£32 in the Jack Walker, £28 in the Blackburn End. (Post 12pm - £31 -£35) Absolutely crackers for a club like us and with nearly 20,000 empty seats most weeks. Especially when it was only priced as an ‘A’ game to fleece 2,000+ Boro fans.
  19. Anyone paying £4.50 for Fosters in a plastic glass needs their head examining. Total lack of imagination at the club when you compare to what other clubs offer. 90s fayre at London 2019 prices. The Fanzone Is going to be pretty desolate as it gets colder.
  20. Peter Crouch with gloves...
  21. Sure a line of the Nyambe song may have been ‘manhood’ related. He was laughing away on the touchline, but I’m sure it won’t be long until the Offendotrons are on to the club complaining about it.
  22. Looks as if we finally have a decent left back. Williams was pretty poor there, but Bell? Christ. He had more than enough chances to make it his spot, he just isn’t anywhere near good enough at this level.
  23. Thought it was a cracking read. Much more to it than I remember a couple of years ago. Kudos to all the contributors.
  24. Clubs like Wrexham, Notts County and Chesterfield are attracting 5,000/6,000 crowds in non league. Last season Stockport had 3,000/4,000... in the SIXTH tier! Compare that to any other country, only Germany is remotely comparable. Just shows how much passion there is for football in this country.
  25. Same as our second home game of last season. Another set of targets missed by Waggott.
