  1. Exactly, ergo looking like time for a change again.
  2. Why is it unnecessary?
  3. Recruitment no question. But the last 18 months were poor performance wise. Trying to just stay in games and have ‘a right good go’ in the last ten minutes. No hard feelings from me, he was a bloke learning his trade at a pretty high level, but lets not get the rose tinted specs out, his sacking was overdue.
  4. As I’ve said before, relegation was the best thing that could’ve happened to Mowbray. We are now plucky little Rovers, forever ‘in transition’ in a higher league. Even though we had a Championship budget that blew everyone out the water in League 1. If we’d had stayed up at Brentford and trundled around in 15th to 20th since he’d have lost the fans long ago, instead there’s barely a murmur.
  5. As I said in another thread. Coyle got dogs abuse on Boxing Day at Barnsley. However, this being the Venky world he limped on until February.
  6. Goes back to the usual issues, the club has no real Blackburn based hierarchy, creating a vacuum that is easily enough manipulated by a canny manager who can extend his power base and ergo security in the role. Who would be pulling the plug? Waggott? the bloke recommended by TM from Coventry? An administrator, not a decision maker. TM’s just appointed his own assistant as ‘Head of Football Operations’. He’s well dug in. The owners I assume are as hands off/oblivious as ever, so presumably Suhail is the only option (if anyone is).
  7. Yep,,looking at what were the uber positive Facebook groups the tide has undoubtedly turned. Preston could be his Barnsley Boxing Day...
  8. Who’s biased? Me? I’m still on the fence personally, unlike others that wanted him sacked after two games... Talking about handing out bans, being ‘inflammatory’, ‘not the kind of language to be associated with brfcs’ etc. is OTT to me as it is pretty obvious DE used it to describe a safety first, risk averse management style. Not that Tony Mowbray, who seems a nice and all round professional fella is a coward. Think you are looking for something that isn’t there...
  9. If people think he has a ‘cowardly’ approach to setting up his team that’s up to them. I just think he’s a bang average manager personally. But come on, you don’t think your outrage is slightly OTT?
  10. Behave Dreams! In your rush to clamber up to that moral high ground you are mixing up your vocab. ‘Banned’, ‘inflammatory’, ‘not the kind of language to be associated with brfcs’. Are you for real? You can be cowardly without being ‘treacherous’. Think you are conflating a fairly standard descriptor of a risk averse manager in football parlance with its archaic usage, e.g. to describe World War 1 conscientious objectors/deserter etc.
  11. The Rowett and Monk aim to manage every Championship club continues...
  12. I’m speaking generally, it isn’t a stand that is seen week on week. The RFS branding wouldn’t have been removed for 20 minutes of Sky chat if they were still a paid up sponsor...
  13. 3,700 at Stanley yesterday (2,500 of them home fans) for a Sky game. Pretty much doubled their numbers in a couple of years, they were happy with breaking four figures not long ago. And that will only continue to increase with the work Holt is putting in with attracting young support. When the camera panned to the crowd I was struck with how many kids were there with parents. I wonder how many of said parents were once Rovers fans? That’s them and their children gone. Our catchment area gets ever smaller, still at least the club has done ‘everything it can’.
  14. With the moving of the gantry the Riverside is no longer seen on TV...
  15. Apropos of nothing, but did anyone else notice the increased advertising presence of our long absent owners at Ewood on Saturday? The RFS stand is no more by the looks of it, seems to now be the Venky’s Riverside. Same with the advertising around the scoreboard. Of course most other club’s would be doing this for some kind of commercial gain...
  16. Anger? No, but far more grumbling about him in the second half and at full time then I’d ever heard before. That is usually a sign of a fan base beginning to turn.
  17. The away support can often turn first - Coyle at Barnsley on Boxing Day springs to mind. Preston could well be the day.
  18. Walton was summed up by that nonsense in injury time. Our free kick, they booted the ball away in the general direction of our keeper, he literally watched it for about 10 seconds until he was bawled at by our players to get it. He then walked off from the ball when the players were expecting him to launch it. He eventually hit a half arsed ball to no one.
  19. Goodwill is definitely beginning to ebb away with the crowd. All I could hear around me on the ground and walking up Livesey Branch Road was ranting about crap subs and wasted money on forwards.
  20. As you know I totally disagree and I’m not seeing much in the way of ‘marginal gains’ from it either with our home performances. But surely Coar must be in cloud cuckoo land with the rest of them down there if he thinks Ewood will look in any way a positive ‘visual spectacle’ today (on or off the pitch).
  21. Club are expecting 1,500 to buy that 3 game ticket. Why? Hasn’t it been put on the record with the FF that these match bundles never particularly sell more than a few hundred? Why would it be different this time, especially with the club at a bit of low ebb. Also, they hope being on TV will show Ewood as a good visual spectacle and we get shown again. An enormous empty stand behind one of the goals ain’t going to help with that, is it!? All very odd decision making down there. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17978793.rovers-aiming-boost-atmosphere-income-ewood-games/
  22. When has he shown any usefulness going forward?
  23. Don’t agree. Lenihan and Williams are ok Championship players. Bell is not good enough for this level.
  24. Come off it ODB, social media is a cesspit, largely faceless idiots trying to stir up tension, it in no way reflects our fan base.
  25. A decade in and the tail is still wagging the dog.
