  1. Not far off a thousand more than turned up for Millwall last season. Though that was the 2nd game of the campaign. Around 2,000 up on the opening game against Norwich in the 2016/17 season. So obviously a sign of optimism... alas typical Rovers to perform like that!
  2. Tosin in, Mulgrew out is a start, Charlie’s done. But we have serious issues at full back and for me they will totally derail our season if he doesn’t wake up ASAP.
  3. He’ll never be good enough, he just doesn’t have it, sorry. And if we are going to stick with Bennett at right back then we can wave goodbye to anything resembling a decent season.
  4. Fairly clear to me they won’t be getting a point deduction for Brentford. Fair enough, precedent set.
  5. ‘Nearly’ doing something isn’t good enough. If anything he’s getting worse.
  6. At our level ‘the press’ is Rovers in house media, Sharpe and Bayes from Radio Lancs... Andrew Neill, they ain’t.
  7. Nowhere near good enough for this level. Can’t defend, terrible control, can’t use the ball offensively. Yes pace, but nothing else a full back needs.
  8. Is he? Bloody bad ‘un, whatever he is.
  9. Left back surely? Amari’i Bell must be one of the worst full backs we’ve had in 30 years.
  10. Get the sentiment. But be realistic, he’s well ensconced at the club. Close relationship with Waggott and the owners. No chance he goes anytime soon, even if he oversaw a relegation.
  11. Charlton, similar club to us in many ways, operate buses to the Valley from across Kent, as like us much of their fanbase has moved from its origins, south east London for them, the town of Blackburn for us, further afield.
  12. Presumably most of the 1,000 complementary STs will be in the JW? As will complimentary match day tickets?
  13. Thought northern towns didn’t have Asian lads in the local shirt? PNE shirts are well behind Liverpool shirts in your town for everybody, so don’t give me that.
  14. I suppose I pay £25-£30 regularly for away tickets. Just never have for Ewood, so it does make me blink when I see the prices, when there are 20,000 empty seats.
  15. Personally think match day prices at £30+in the Jack Walker, £45 against Leeds and Sheff Wed are not reasonable for mid table second division football, but ‘value is in the eye of the beholder’ and all that.
  16. A lot of that is your personal view on marketing, fair enough, and you are a fan that commits regardless. Lapsed fans surely cannot just be left as ‘former fans’. May as well delete the database, as fans will find their way to Ewood regardless.
  17. Since relegation, every Championship season we’ve gone on and on about crowds (me certainly included!), but the Coyle season aside we’ve ended up with 11/13,000 home fans in the ground each week, this season will be no different. Average side year in year out, no real sniff at promotion, tickets now costing £400- £450 in the main stand, so why on Earth would anything change? Just bizarre that Waggott is seemingly very disappointed that we haven’t suddenly added 1200 new ST holders. The club could certainly do more, not having tickets on sale for Oxford was a great example of a missed opportunity, are lapsed fans chased enough? But as always, get a decent side at the top end and we’ll see some improvement, promotion and the rest will follow.
  18. Love your style Paul! Switch off in early May, switch back on early August. Probably do this site good too!
  19. Another season of tripe incoming from that clown. Shame they didn’t put someone fresh in for the new season.
  20. Course he’s a Preston fan! Bamber Bridge fan, my arse!
  21. Sounds great but that isn’t the impression I get from working in Asian schools. From memory gumboots was a teacher in similar schools and came across the same thing. Football mad? Absolutely. Rovers mad? No, not remotely on their radar.
  22. Depends on how much the EFL bend the rules, I believe there have been various out of contract pros at training today...
  23. Teesside is three quarters of a million people and they are the only club. Akin to Rovers being the only club in east Lancs, Bolton and Preston.
