Bolton Wanderers Unpaid Staff Need Food bank.

I know why you picked Milner, he’s been in the news this summer because he’s now ‘hench’... however that photo of yours is an old one... he’s more Mr Muscle the drain cleaner there! This is a better one... -
The whole thing has been nonsensical. Waggott said the other week ‘we want to give our team an advantage so they are going upstairs’ (not sure I agree personally, just makes Ewood seem like a morgue, but fine). However he added a caveat, if he thinks they are bringing more than 2k they are downstairs, anything less upstairs. Surely an away following of 2/3k is much more likely to aid the opposition in terms of vocal support than 500? So shouldn’t it be the other way round? Though perhaps he’s finally worked it out, ergo Boro upstairs.
-
And they are in the upper tier. Thought 2k and over were supposed to be in the bottom? Not many clubs are going to bring more than those numbers, so a very big, very empty Darwen End most weeks.

On the flip side these young lads are having first team experience they’d be having on loan in League 2 or non league, if lucky, some would probably have been released with never having a sniff of a first team. Bet they are loving it. -
Don’t disagree. I was talking about his way with the players. You can imagine all the jumpers for goalposts stuff at Brockhall when things are going well, and a real mood shift when results turn.
-
You reckon? I doubt he’d even be close to the door. Fan wise, he may get a ‘Tony, sort it out’ and some boos, but no mass revolt at this stage.
-
He needs a result. So it wouldn’t surprise me to see Graham back in. He hinted as much the other day when he said his DG will still be often used for home games when there is less chasing down for forwards to do (theoretically).

That’s a bit like when I didn’t know Shearer had left until a nob ender told me and my dad on the ferry back from France... almost

I read that some of their ex players have initiated a winding up petition against the club. Another mess of a club in the north west... -
Trudged off the pitch and went down the tunnel, up to you if you think that equates to ‘toys being out the pram’.

Charlton, a struggling Boro with a new rookie manager, Hull on Tuesday night. Yes some tough games in August, but some winnable ones too...
-
I never get it when people call him ‘dour’ or ‘boring’. He seems enormously passionate to me, almost naive in his enthusiasm for the game. I imagine he takes poor runs of results extremely badly. So I can certainly believe that.

Already appointed. There’s a man to lead you out of a division... -

Conway is still training there, he’d be first up, you’d imagine. -

Oh of course. I imagine they’ll have a totally different side by September. -
With two out of the three possibly already injured (not sure on Tosin). Considering Williams and Lenihan have a history of absences, then it really is negligent planning.

Otzumer now gone, so down to 3 fit senior outfield players... and one of those is Jason Lowe -
Maybe, and if that is the case it was extremely negligent not to have a replacement lined up.

I couldn’t put my finger on it until frosty posted yesterday that it has the feelings of the dying days of Souness in 2004 and Bowyer in 2015. I don’t think they are perfect parallels, Souness had fallen out with half the squad by then, as well as having the other half playing out of position. Bowyer had the rug pulled from under him and was Poundland shopping. But with both it felt like time for a change. Don’t think we are quite there yet, but the scales have certainly fallen from a few fans eyes in recent weeks.
-
I hope he does rip into them at Brockhall and in the dressing room. However young lads shouldn’t be singled out for criticism to the media.
-
A fair few you’d imagine. But this was an odd one, club captain who didn’t have a single rumour about him leaving all summer, indeed captained a side that is very short in defensive numbers leaves in double quick time on the afternoon of deadline day with no replacement. Obviously something went on that was not forseen. Footballers are delicate flowers, the rapid removal of a very popular figure in the dressing room, coupled with months of poor results and an increasingly erratic manager could well change the dynamic. Or it may not bother them at all and it will be ‘the king is dead, long live the King’. We’ll see how it pans out, but something seems amiss to me.

What did we have around 2000? Harkness - Dailly - Peacock - Grayson And I thought that was a nadir...

In my opinion Mulgrew is past it and shouldn’t have been given a new deal, however that doesn’t mean the captain leaving in circumstances like that hasn’t upset the camp.
