  1. Even without the rise it was £30-£32 in the Jack Walker, £28 in the Blackburn End. (Post 12pm - £31 -£35) Absolutely crackers for a club like us and with nearly 20,000 empty seats most weeks. Especially when it was only priced as an ‘A’ game to fleece 2,000+ Boro fans.
  2. Anyone paying £4.50 for Fosters in a plastic glass needs their head examining. Total lack of imagination at the club when you compare to what other clubs offer. 90s fayre at London 2019 prices. The Fanzone Is going to be pretty desolate as it gets colder.
  3. Peter Crouch with gloves...
  4. Sure a line of the Nyambe song may have been ‘manhood’ related. He was laughing away on the touchline, but I’m sure it won’t be long until the Offendotrons are on to the club complaining about it.
  5. Looks as if we finally have a decent left back. Williams was pretty poor there, but Bell? Christ. He had more than enough chances to make it his spot, he just isn’t anywhere near good enough at this level.
  6. Thought it was a cracking read. Much more to it than I remember a couple of years ago. Kudos to all the contributors.
  7. Clubs like Wrexham, Notts County and Chesterfield are attracting 5,000/6,000 crowds in non league. Last season Stockport had 3,000/4,000... in the SIXTH tier! Compare that to any other country, only Germany is remotely comparable. Just shows how much passion there is for football in this country.
  8. Same as our second home game of last season. Another set of targets missed by Waggott.
  9. I.e he’s not under any immediate threat. I’d agree that he has far more allies than Bowyer.
  10. Bowyer staggered on till November, don’t see this being any different...
  11. You never read that before? I remember everyone being given a copy at Crewe in the first game after his death. From memory it was also read out on the big screen pre the Norwich game (first game post death at Ewood). That then ‘time to say goodbye’ and there were some serious tears being shed across the Blackburn End. 19 years ago now, crazy.
  12. Sacked after 3 league games? Can’t be looking at his record last season too, can they?
  13. Oi! I was a full back... no you’re right
  14. Fosters and that ‘dark fruit’ stuff, talk about lowest common denominator.... and £4.50 a do!
  15. Don’t disagree. Last season against Leeds we put in one of our best Ewood performance... in front of a packed bottom tier of the DE.
  16. Well if he plays, maybe it was actually ‘fluid in his eye’ due to Big Skip going...
  17. I know why you picked Milner, he’s been in the news this summer because he’s now ‘hench’... however that photo of yours is an old one... he’s more Mr Muscle the drain cleaner there! This is a better one...
  18. The whole thing has been nonsensical. Waggott said the other week ‘we want to give our team an advantage so they are going upstairs’ (not sure I agree personally, just makes Ewood seem like a morgue, but fine). However he added a caveat, if he thinks they are bringing more than 2k they are downstairs, anything less upstairs. Surely an away following of 2/3k is much more likely to aid the opposition in terms of vocal support than 500? So shouldn’t it be the other way round? Though perhaps he’s finally worked it out, ergo Boro upstairs.
  19. And they are in the upper tier. Thought 2k and over were supposed to be in the bottom? Not many clubs are going to bring more than those numbers, so a very big, very empty Darwen End most weeks.
  20. On the flip side these young lads are having first team experience they’d be having on loan in League 2 or non league, if lucky, some would probably have been released with never having a sniff of a first team. Bet they are loving it.
  21. Don’t disagree. I was talking about his way with the players. You can imagine all the jumpers for goalposts stuff at Brockhall when things are going well, and a real mood shift when results turn.
  22. You reckon? I doubt he’d even be close to the door. Fan wise, he may get a ‘Tony, sort it out’ and some boos, but no mass revolt at this stage.
  23. He needs a result. So it wouldn’t surprise me to see Graham back in. He hinted as much the other day when he said his DG will still be often used for home games when there is less chasing down for forwards to do (theoretically).
  24. That’s a bit like when I didn’t know Shearer had left until a nob ender told me and my dad on the ferry back from France... almost
  25. Little Skip will be a shoe in.
