  1. Then we be best be careful how we spend it, no last minute panic buys of very raw teenagers.
  2. Yes we should’ve made ourselves a regional power in the 90s, but a series of strategic errors post ‘95 meant we never did.
  3. Who’ll question him on it? Certainly not the LT or Radio Lancs.
  4. Don’t get me started! You want ‘parochial’, try Lancastrians making out our great county is actually that little rump politicians created in 1974.
  5. Must be skimming the rest then as it’s down as 18,000 in the media.
  6. We’ve sold our keeper for £3 million to pay these additional incoming wages. Then 4-5 million on transfer fees. Still not £10 million, even if we now have a bigger wage bill. Which is fine, by the way, a decent budget from where I’m standing. Most clubs trade and wheel and deal at this level, but just level with fans instead of the politicians answers.
  7. Of course. But you seriously can’t take anything out of friendlies when it comes to form and pointers for success of otherwise for the season ahead.
  8. Silly then, aren’t they.
  9. End of the day I don’t expect to spend net £10 million a summer or even close. But why come out with an out and out lie like ‘a similar budget’ when we will probably spend net about a tenth of what we did last summer. File it with the ‘8 thousand season ticket holders’ tall tale and the others.
  10. I thought it was usually the ITK-ers. Can’t recall Waggott saying anything more than ‘competitive’. I stand corrected, see below...
  11. “We sold our goalie so we could put the money towards a centre forward and a central defender." So certainly not true that we had a budget to match last summer’s...
  12. I’m sure everyone knows that, to be fair...
  13. To be fair you said ‘that’s your opinion’ when people were slagging him off, so folk probably thought you had a different view on Evans’ qualities to share...
  14. I would stick with Hart through pre season, see what he can do. For me we cannot not start with Bell for another year. I’d prefer a new left back, but I doubt we’ll see one.
  15. Good to see the moaning about moaning is back.
  16. XL? Not too much jogging going on, ay?
  17. I wasn’t talking about you, was I! Debated you on here for donkey’s. Christ we need some football. I’m the last person for censorship. But just delete today’s posts on this thread and be done with it.
  18. Ha, I do seem to be the chosen one in the rotating sights of the select few at the minute. Taken me nearly 20 years to be front and centre of the board, but I’m sure it will move onto someone else once the season starts. Oh, I’ll debate with said crew all day long DGS. Just must bore the pants off everyone else.
  19. I was resting. Mani brought pages ago posts back up.
  20. Biz seemed happy enough with a young loanee and ‘improved game management from the existing defence’. IF this one youngster is the only one to come in, I think that’s a risky approach and certainly not what TM was planning in May, do you not agree?
  21. Sounds great, he’s going to instill this into an entire defence? A defence of two young full backs, possibly a young centre half and a converted midfielder who though good, is prone to rash decision making.
  22. Why would I think that? Danny Graham is the best example of a player with it in the squad. If you read, I say where is it coming from defensively, i.e from the existing defence with possibly a young loanee who’s hardly played centre half. One of the worst defences in the country last season, remember?
  23. Scrap that, he’s on the bench for their other game.
